I try to buy Fresh Step even though it cost more because it is so good!! I have three indoor cats in a small apartment. I could not stand it if I did not have Fresh Step. There is never a smell and the low dust formula is a must. My apartment is dusty enough already. Absolutely great litter!!!

I went ahead and purchased it thinking maybe it would work better than my Multi Cat. Extreme scented actually did not fight the oder as my Multi Cat litter does. Maybe if only one cat was to use it would be a stronger oder fighter but I prefer Multi Cat. I actually received a bag of Crystals from a friend and I think thats my new choice.

I fell in love with this brand and now it is the only brand that I will buy. Great scent that lasts, which is great since the cats box is in a closet in our bedroom!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've experimented with a few different brands of kitty litter before I fell I love with fresh step. The clumps are instant and become very compact. It's a plus that each time my cat scratches around in her litter box or I go to scoop it out, moving the litter around creates a trail of febreeze! It's so great!!

I pick-up my Fresh Step at one of the big warehouse stores and made the mistake of buying their "new & improved" clumping litter. It was 50% less expensive. Big mistake. That day I started to see tracking on my bed spread and area rugs, so you know it's everywhere. Went back to the store and got me a 42 lb. bag of extreme Fresh Step. Lesson learned.

I've found over the years, since I first owned cats in 2002, that I prefer Fresh Step litter over all other litter brands. With multiple cats in our household, I enjoy the Extreme the best. The 10 days of freshness is pretty accurate. There is low dust, but I wish that the amount of tracking was less. It's must better than lightweight formula's, even though you don't get the lightweight benefit, but I really wish there was a way to reduce tracking more. The clumping is great - urine clumps together well unlike some other brands.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great litter. It really is low dust and keeps smells at a minimum My only criticism is that sometimes the clumps strongly adhere to the bottom of the litter box. Adding a little extra helps avoid this problem.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Febreze fresh step and I was worried my two cats wouldn't like the scent since I usually buy unscented. I tried a little mixed in to the unscented first to be sure and they were fine, like nothing changed. It definitely helps with the smell, especially with having two cats. I would recommend this if you're cats don't mind some change.

I just got my baby 3 weeks ago after losing my best friend Trigger. It took some time after his death but I am so glad I did. I purchased this litter and absolutely LOVE it! My baby does too! It clumps great, no odors and after Jax uses his litter box, he comes out smelling like Febreeze! I will continue to purchase this product, it really does what it says it will do!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

We've used this litter almost exclusively for over 4 years now, in a 2-cat, 1-box household, which is a top-entry box (so not fully covered). Pros: - Exceptional odor control. Despite the box being in the bathroom, which is right next to the kitchen, we hardly ever have a significant odor issue, and even then only when one of the cats -just- went. - Easy clumping. Scooping is always a simple process, and even large clumps tend to stick together during the process, leaving usable litter behind. - Cat-friendly. Our cats have never had any issues with using this litter. Though to be fair, they haven't had issue with any of the litters we've used (non-clay, non-crystal) Cons: - Dusty. Even the "low dust" formula still puts out a -lot- of dust when pouring, and a not-inconsiderable amount when stirring after scooping. Overall, I have no desire to use another litter. The only caveat I'd give is that neither of our cats are very particular about litter boxes or litter, and neither have any special needs.
