[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have multiple cats since we foster for a rescue, and we are always using this litter. It locks in odors, clumps well, and is not too dusty like other litters. We buy the 42lb bags, usually several at one time, since we have so many litter boxes to fill! Fun Tips: if you are worried about excess dust, just freeze the litter you are going to use beforehand for at least 12 hours and it minimizes dust content. Or, you can get an old colander and sift through the litter outside!

I love the smell of Febreze, so I decided to try this litter. Unfortunately, my cat didn't like the smell as much as I do, because he refused to use it at all. I gather because the smell is very overpowering. It was dustier than other Fresh Step varieties I've used, so I had to completely give up on this variety. :(

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is THE BEST LITTER on the market! I have four indoor cats and this litter completely traps the odor in the litter box! It is SO EASY to scoop and makes life with so many cats much easier! GREAT PRODUCT!

I bought this for the first time, because I always purchased the Unscented Extreme Fresh Step Litter. Honestly, I did not really see a difference with the coverage of the odor. But I think my cat just may have some really powerful poo...lol. Overall, I do enjoy Fresh Step the most out of all the litters. Does contain smells that are not to harsh after my cat goes.

We picked up some Fresh Step Extreme with Febreze recently and I have to say we really love it. It clumps very well and doesn't easily break apart. It also has a pleasant smell when you pour it in and it's not super dusty, so it doesn't get everywhere. And it seems to be doing a good job containing the odor from our two cats using it. I really like Fresh Step with Febreze and it has become our go-to cat litter.

I have 2 kitties and they are kittens but their poop smells like grown cats who had enchiladas on taco Tuesday. I tried tidy cats and even some fancy foo foo mess and it still smelled like I was the crazy cat lady with 20 cats. With this one has been amaze balls I notice I'm not scooping right behind them and my cats actually love it.

We have a large cat family of 18 and were searching for a litter that could handle the number of cats litter box use. The Freshstep-Extreme did the job! And the cats seem to really like to use the sand like litter over the clay litter we also offer them.

Ok...you know the old saying you get what you pay for?? This is right on target! Yes, it may be a little more expensive then the other brands, but let me tell you something! This IS the best cat litter...EVER!! I have 3 cats, just barely over 1 year old. It amazes me how much they use the litter box. This litter holds up for well over 9 hours a day. I come home and my house doesn't smell like a litter box. It smells like my house. WOW!! This is an awesome product and I have recommended it to all of my peeps that have cats. They too all love it! KUDOS!! Don't change a thing!!

I have been buying the Scented Odor Shield litter for the past four years and have loved it! Unfortunately when I went to buy more I was told that it had been discontinued due to the new Febreze line. So...I ended up buying Odor Shield with Febreze instead. Hugely disappointing! The is a much messier litter that requires constant cleanup AND the scent is much stronger as well, so much in fact that just being in the same room with it would set off my allergies! This may be a new product, but it is definitely NOT an improved one. Please bring back Scented Odor Shield without the Febreze!!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cats are pretty stinky when in their boxes. I have tried Tidy Cats (no clumping), the higher end brands, and now finally Fresh Step Extreme! I love it because all the other litters left a lingering odor, and the cats made a constant mess around the house. The clumping stays in the box (for the most part), and the odor goes away within 10-20 min, so my house doesn't smell. Also, no dust!!! Even better! Thank you Fresh Step!
