Customer reviews for SAMSUNG 43" Class TU700D-Series Crystal Ultra HD 4K Smart TV UN43TU700DFXZA forDisappointing
picture is good. software/interface is a huge disappointment. i was hoping to not have to use a box of any kind but will have to go back to apple tv. the smart hub is so bad that when you turn the tv on it will only default to their smasung channels which blasts some nonesene game shows or bad tv. i use youtube tv for programmining and have to go in and load each time which is slow. app tiles are small and hard to distinguish which app is highlighted. i have a tcl with roku tv that was cheaper, runs faster, has a much better interface with infinately more configuration, etc. really expected more from samsung. i just picture a group of design people sitting around a presentation of this “smart hub” interface and being impressed enough to approve it....wow.

All I will buy from now on are Samsung TV s
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this tv becasue I heard you could side load andriod and being PC and Galaxy phone guy this was appealing. I had no idea how much more this tv could do and the features WOW. I use my pc for everything and keep very current with software, hardware and OS and lost interest in TVs years back. If you've never Samsung's HUB then you are in for a treat. Well Done Samsung!
Pretty much the worst tv experience
the good- the bad- darkest picture ever. cant adjust it enough to see people when its a low light setting audio- doesnt stay connected to bluetooth soundbar from same brand picture- randomly has blue light/tint that covers the whole tv. cant read or see anything until it randomly goes away lag- lags like an early 2000's computer with viruses. click any button on the remote and wait 5 seconds or until it spazzes out and goes into a random app or some animal documentary
Bloop: I am very sorry you have experienced multiple issues with your TU7000 TV. I understand your frustration and disappointment. There are several troubleshooting steps you can take to improve your experience. 1) Please be sure to download and install the latest firmware which improves Bluetooth connection and addresses the color glitch issue. Using your TV's remote, navigate to Settings, and select Support. Select Software Update, and then select Update Now. New updates will be downloaded and installed on your TV. Updates usually take a few minutes; please do not turn off the TV until the update is complete. When the update is finished, the TV will restart automatically. If there aren't any new updates, select OK to exit. You may want to enable automatic updates for conveniences. Select Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update. If you would like to update your software using USB, please check for the latest version on the Samsung website Please be sure to reset the TV after it has been updated by either unplugging the AC for 20 seconds (or) pressing and holding the power butting until the TV turns off then back on. 2) To address your lag issue, you may want to run the self-diagnosis tool. This service checks memory and frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps. Go to Settings > Support> Device Care > Start Device Care 3) Samsung is aware of the issue of scenes appearing too dark, and a new firmware update will be released soon to address this issue. Please follow the steps in (1) to keep your firmware current. I hope these tips help. For further assistance, please contact Samsung TV Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG (available 8AM -12AM EST, 7 days a week) Or visit us on the Samsung website and click on the SUPPORT link in the upper right corner for: 1) Contact Us Options (LiveChat, Remote Support, Facebook, Twitter) 2) Product Support 3) Manuals and Downloads 4) Warranty Info 5) Product Registration: Registering your product gives you access to easy warranty support, convenient opt-in to special promos and offers, faster troubleshooting and service, and quick notification of system updates 6) Samsung Community: A great resource for getting help from Samsung moderators and customers and more 7) …and more product, repair, order, and care options Again, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on this product. Did Not Last
i love samsung products love them. i have 2 g7 monitors for my pc, 3 other samsung tvs, phones, and my watch all samsung. im a fan boy. but this tv let me down. i bought it about 2 years ago when it was released, and its now dead. it was barely used, im at my computer the majority of the time. i would say it has less than 500 total hours over 2 years. and now no picture period. this was a major let down.
Hi CallMeCarl, We are sorry to hear that your Samsung TU7000 TV is no longer working after two years. Samsung prides itself on high-quality products and a great customer experience. Please know we are here to help you. If your TV has a black screen even when it's on, it's quite possible it could actually be your external device and not your TV. Please try these troubleshooting steps for your blank screen issue: 1. Press the Home button on the remote. If the menu appears, the TV is powered on but is either not on the correct source or not receiving a signal. If the menu does not appear, the TV may be having power issues. Check the red standby light, a little red light at the edge of the TV that you aim the remote at. In normal use, the red standby light is on when the TV is off (indicating the TV is on standby), and the red standby light is off when the TV is in use (or doesn't have power). 2. Confirm the TV is set to the same source as the external device. For instance, if your cable box is connected to HDMI 1, set the TV source to HDMI 1. If the TV is set to the correct source but there is still no image, unplug and reconnect the AV connections one cable at a time from both ends of each cable. If there's any damage to the cable, it will need to be replaced. After you've reconnected the external device, turn it off and then back on. 3. Test the HDMI cable. Some TVs have an HDMI cable test. Some models only have this test after a software update, and older models do not have it. If your model does not have this test or is not connected by HDMI, skip to the next step. The test is designed for HDMI cords less than 6 feet long and may not give accurate results on longer cords. To perform the test, make sure the TV's source is still on the HDMI setting for the cable you want to test, and then navigate to Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information > HDMI Cable Test > Start Test. If the test says, the cable is bad, replace the cable. Service is not required. 4. Test different external devices. The final thing to rule out is the external device you're using. Try connecting a different device or using a different source port. If you were unable to test the cable in the previous step, then try swapping the cable, too. If the TV can display a picture in any other setup, then you've ruled the TV out as the cause of the issue. Keep trying various setups until you identify the device or cable that is not working and troubleshoot or replace it. If you continue to have issues, please give us a call so we can troubleshoot further with you. Contact us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Looks and works good
Ordered in February and delivered mid March. Was concerned with all the bad reviews before tv was delivered. First thing I did was update to new firmware per comments from Samsung. Netflix took about 30 min to work after update. I didn't want to spend a lot so this fit my budget perfectly. Not sure why only two HDMI since last years 7 series had three. Not a big fan of the remote. I prefer the remote that came with the 740d version I also recently purchased. No issues with tv.

Wireless Connection Problems
had the tv for a week without issue and was relatively happy until i started experiencing a wireless connection issue ("mac address is invalid."). my wifi connection was fine (strong on all other devices), but the tv was completely unable to detect my (or any other) wireless router as it had during setup. i tried all the troubleshooting i could find online, but it seems to be a known defect with certain units that may or may not ever go away for the life of the tv. after trying to connect again for another hour it eventually detected my router again for about two minutes before the error quickly returned, at which point i made the easy call to return it for a different brand that won't require a lucky dice roll any time i want to watch tv. obviously a very frustrating outcome.
Great picture
picture is awesome. took some getting use to be ause it is so clear. only reason i gave it a 4 star is because of the remote. for some odd reason they did not have it light up. i keep having to turn on the light to use the remote. doesn't that seem odd. even the cheapest of the tv's come with remotes that light up. oh well, the tv was a gift so i can't complain too much lol.
Never again - Korean junk made in Mexico
Lasted 18 months of very limited use in guest room. Then the "two fast red blinks, pause, two fast red blinks, pause, one long red blink and and one short red blink" started and was told that it was out of warranty (which I knew, but this seems like manufacturer defect) and then tried sell me new Samsung TV as the repair costs will likely be more than a new one.
