Customer reviews for SAMSUNG 43" Class TU700D-Series Crystal Ultra HD 4K Smart TV UN43TU700DFXZA forWould not recommend
I bought this TV in March of 2021 and had to return it to the store the next day as it was not working correctly. I returned it and it worked well for about three weeks. It is currently turning on and off by itself and I cannot correct it. I heard that Samsung were great products, but I am very unhappy with this product. Would not recommend.
Hello Janet, Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 and for your review. We appreciate your feedback regarding the issues you are experiencing with your TV powering itself on and off. Sometimes connected Smart devices send abnormal "power on" signals through the wireless network that triggers the TV to turn itself on. If you do not want this function, navigate to Settings > General > Network > Expert Settings > Power On with Mobile, and turn the setting off. If you are using an external device through HDMI, this also could cause the auto power on as Anynet+ is set on. Occasionally, connected devices such as game consoles (PS4, xbox) or cable set top boxes send power on signals, for example, if they have software updates. We recommend you to try turning Anynet+ off as it may be causing auto power on. Go to Setting- General - External Device Manager - Anynet+, then Disable (toggle button) If your TV still appears to turn off by itself, please also try disabling some of the TV's energy efficiency functions. See if Sleep Timer has been enabled. The Sleep Timer automatically turns the TV off after a specific period of time. Go to: Settings > General > System Manager > Time > Sleep Timer If the Sleep Timer has not been enabled, see if Auto Power Off or Off Timer has been enabled and disable it. - Settings > General > Eco Solution > Auto Power Off - Settings > General > System Manager > Time > Off Timer If the TV continues to turn on or off by itself continuously, please contact our TV Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs), available 8AM -12AM EST, 7 days a week. Or text HELP to 62913. Picture was great for one day
This TV had good picture for 24 hours and then the picture had a purple/pink hue. And no Samsung, per your suggestion to every bad review, there is no firmware update available for my TV. As per other reviews a reset has temporarily resolved the issue but I will be returning this TV tomorrow.

Good Screen Resolution
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a very nice smart TV with reasonable price and good quality pictures. I really enjoy watching shows and movies on this TV. The only thing that I believe it's missing. The voice command on the TV remote control.
Good screen, really bad interface
Just bought this TV yesterday and while the screen is fine, the smart TV UI is terrible. No way to remove apps that I don't use and it won't even let me remove them from the home screen. I don't like the Samsung TV plus, but there's no way to avoid it. Also, WAY too many ads. Additionally, the remote lags really bad, then jumps around as if I held down the button. Overall, not a good experience with the UI.
StanOS: Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 TV and for your review. We appreciate you sharing your experience with the interface. Your feedback is important to us and will be shared with our teams. To address your lag issue, you may want to run the self-diagnosis tool. Go to Settings > Support> Device Care > Start Device Care This service checks memory and frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps. I hope this helps to solve your concerns. Fantastic TV!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would like to start this review by saying that i am some what of a TV snob. I research extensively before I make a purchase. Display size is very important to me but of equal importance is picture quality and features. This Samsung TV is smallest display in my home at 65 inches. Yes, I'm "that guy". The picture on this TV is stunning right out of the box. I do have a calibration disc that I use to fine tune the settings on my TVs. I didn't have to change any settings. I was really impressed with that. The sound from the built in speakers is also really very good. The remote is very simple to use and as a bonus it is a universal remote that works my DirecTV system and my sound bar. So no more having 3 or 4 remotes laying around. This thing has almost no frame to speak of which is very sleek looking. It has all the built in apps that you need with dedicated buttons on the remote for Netflix and Amazon. It also has built in Disney+ which is awesome. There are plenty of connections for all your other equipment such as sound bars, game consoles, and DVD players and you can control them all with this TV and remote. The one thing that I wish Samsung would change is that the power cord connects to the back of the TV on the complete opposite side of the unit from all of the other cable inputs. For those of us who detest cables running everywhere it creates more issues than it has too, especially since this could be easily fixed. Overall though, this is a great TV that you will love in your home. It's my 2nd Samsung TV and I'm sure won't be my last.

So far, so good.
this is our first smart tv. its not our first samsung. i was quite surprised at the ease of set up. it took less than 15 mins and we were up and running! even the remote setup for our existing service was flawless. unboxing was simple and direct. now, we will have to see if it holds up as well as the one it replaced.
Decent Screen, TERRIBLE PROCESSOR!!!
I have a larger Samsung TV and was very impressed by the robust performance of the native apps and apps that you can get from the App Store (although I'll caveat that by mentioning that I did have to return that TV to the store three times because of how slow the processes worked (laggy, would take a whole minute for any remote control command to work. This TV has a similar issue running applications such as Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV, and others. I bought this TV to serve primarily as my new home-office display ( and to watch TV from to kill the time in between tasks, if I'm being honest). The TV will work fine if you're hooking it to a laptop or desktop. If you're buying this TV to...well...watch TV and so you don't have to use an off the shelf box (like Roku, Apple TV set top, Chromecast, etc), then you'll be TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTED. You would think that if Samsung wants to market a TV as Smart, they would pay more attention to quality control and performance of their Smart Features. Everything running directly from the TV just disappoints. The user interface for every app is rendered in low resolution (yes, I checked my settings. I also compared the same apps on the same TV with third party app services). I can overlook that the app interfaces all run in low resolution, as long as the actual video is rendered in HD. What I can't overlook, is how laggy the TV gets when you run any app. This TV struggles to play video while handling simple functions such as..say.. changing the volume or a channel. So...here I am...using a “Smart TV” as simply a monitor.
The_One_True_Bob, Thank you for your purchase and review. The interface issue you are describing may be related to your network connection and quality. We suggest you try the following: 1. Use 5G WiFi if possible 2. Try wired LAN if available 3. Try repositioning the router so there are no obstacles between your TV and the router I hope this helps to solve your concerns. Black screen in a couple of days
TV worked fine for the first couple of days, then the screen went black presumably from a faulty back light strip. The menus and and sound still work, but the screen is still black. Otherwise, the screen was great for 4K gaming until it unfortunately broke.
Kevin: If you've switched on your TV and the sound comes through fine, but you're not seeing any picture; there are 3 potential issues. 1) A connection issue; the most common problem. Where there is a bad connection, faulty cables or improper installation. 2) An issue with the device connected to the TV. There may be a video output setting on the device that you must set properly before it will output to the TV. 3) There is something wrong with the TV, which will require a technician to assess the TV and find a solution. The 'Samsung TU7000 Full Manual' is available online. Refer to pages 135-140 for step-by-step troubleshooting instructions. Affordable 4K sweetness
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 4k tv is an entry model that punches above is weight. I have it mounted in my bedroom and it's slim bezels and ample brightness is more than enough for me. With HDR support, streaming movies and shows is truly enjoyable. With the truly tested samsung remote and the tizen os, navigating around the menu is a breeze. If you're looking for a store bright screen and extremely low refresh rates, you might need to look for something higher priced or specd. Blacks are super black and 4K content is as rich as can be. With ample hdmi and other inputs, connecting your speaker system is as easy as ever. Surely looking forward to getting one for the kids room for those cocomelon & peppa pig nights .
Dead after a year
Was a decent TV for the price when it worked. Unfortunately a year and 2 months after purchasing, it's essentially dead. It will not power on. I've tried every trick with no success. The little red light flashes, so it's receiving power. Just can't fully turn on, stays black screen. Happened out of the blue, nothing triggered it. Very frustrating, huge waste of money. A TV should last much longer than a year.
