Good screen, really bad interface

Just bought this TV yesterday and while the screen is fine, the smart TV UI is terrible. No way to remove apps that I don't use and it won't even let me remove them from the home screen. I don't like the Samsung TV plus, but there's no way to avoid it. Also, WAY too many ads. Additionally, the remote lags really bad, then jumps around as if I held down the button. Overall, not a good experience with the UI.

Poor performance. Would not recommend Samsung

I bought this tv less than 3 years ago and it already having issues powering on. Sometimes it takes 5-30 minutes to turn on. Once it is on it works fine, but very disappointed that this model isn't working properly. Contacted Samsung support via email with no response. Called the Samsung support # and the representative walked me through some troubleshooting, but couldn't fix the issue. Now I'm stuck with a 58” tv that won't turn on when I want it to. They suggested I call for repair service, which would cost as much as I paid for the tv.

Don't buy this tv .

i just bought it 2weeks ago. when i got the tv it have blinking problem. show up randomly can enjoy this tv poor quality. was trying to resolve the problem today. but spending almost a hour still no solution. too much problem to get this tv. not enjoyable. not recommend buying.

Disable Ambient Light Detection, Power Saving Mode, Motion Lighting, or Contrast Enhancer. Settings > General> Eco Solution> Ambient Light Detection Settings > General> Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode Settings > General> Eco Solution> Motion Lighting Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Contrast Enhancer Run Picture Test. When the tested image quality is normal, check the signal of the connected device. Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test I hope this helps. Was great, lines kept appearing on the screen

I bought this TV in 2020 and it was a good bit at first. I use my TV for watching shows, YouTube, and a lot of gaming. After a while, I noticed a horizontal line forming in the middle of the screen. Fast forward and there are now 4 horizonal lines across the entire width of the TV. I ended up putting it in my office because I could NOT have those lines on my main TV. (As I went to take pictures for this review, 2 more faint lines have appeared)

Returning

We have given it a try, but we will return it. The apps do not work properly, videos keep freezing. We have checked for updates and done everything possible to make this work. Not very impressed with image quality, the smaller Toshiba that we had for a while works better than this one. Not worth keeping.

Disappointed that Samsung would sell this

This TV was very disappointing. I have owned another Samsung TV that still works 16 years later. I bought this model in 2022 thinking that it would be a good purchase. However, the display has become so dark that it is hard to watch anything. There are 5 round lights in the back screen of this TV but the corners are all dark. A product of such low quality should not have been released to the public.

Shame on you Samsung

This TV is the biggest piece of junk and im appalled that Samsung would release a product like this. I started experience issues in less than a year of owning and now not even 4yrs later, the TV stopped working. The night before my wife and I are watching a movie and the next day it doesn't turn on anymore. Screen is black, no sound and sounds like there's a mouse screeching in it when I hit the power button. Appears that the power board has gone out. Totally unacceptable and disappointed that Samsung would release a piece of junk like this. I'll never purchase another TV by Samsung.

Mounting bolts need to be longer than indicated

the set is nice. but the manual will indicat that the versa mount screws should be 20/22mm. this is not correct, and others have commented the same. when you add in the depth of the mounting plate you are using, the screws/bolts will need to be m8 25mm; otherwise, there will be no bite of the threads-guaranteed. i had called samsung tech support about this, and the agent truly had no clue. secondly, if you want to just set up your tv to start watching your cable and streaming services-not so fast....the initial set up is going to force you through a bewildering labyrinth of required steps, to compel you to set up a samsung account-which you may not want.,

Please know that the 20-22mm listed in the user manual is not the screw length. It’s the wall mount thread depth in the TV chassis. Make sure to add the wall mount bracket thickness to the thread depth for minimum screw length. Poor Picture

The picture quality on this TU7000 is not near the same quality as the 10 year old Samsung it replaced. After adjusting the brightness to max the brightness level is poor. The picture is not as clear as the the 10 year old tv it replaced. Very disappointed with the TU7000.

The closer the signal is to 4K, the better it will look coming out. In addition, the quality of the image on your screen depends on the source and the connection. HDMI cables are recommended for optimal HD viewing; and when possible, 4K content will provide the best picture quality. Beautiful Picture, Terrible Interface

i got this tv to replace a 10 year old television that stopped working. it seems liked a great option, and it has really good reviews. i understand with any newer tv model there's a learning curve to adjust to menu layouts and quirky brand features. however, the awkwardness and confusing design of the app menu layout; the incredibly slow, lagged and often over compensated menu scroll speed; and "smart" features like the one to reopen the last app didn't work. i gave this tv over 15 days to convince me it was for me, but i eventually decided that i couldn't handle the laggy menu and traded it in for a different brand of tv.
