Customer reviews for SAMSUNG 43" Class TU700D-Series Crystal Ultra HD 4K Smart TV UN43TU700DFXZA forTerrible TV. Waste of money
I bought this hoping it would be an improvement because I liked my old samsung TV a lot. Netflix doesn't work, the picture isn't great, constantly having internet issues with the TV (My internet has been fine with my other TV's and computers) thinking about returning it but it will be a pain. Also, recommended screw sizes did not fit to mount it. Idk what they were doing when they built this piece of garbage.

Returning
We have given it a try, but we will return it. The apps do not work properly, videos keep freezing. We have checked for updates and done everything possible to make this work. Not very impressed with image quality, the smaller Toshiba that we had for a while works better than this one. Not worth keeping.

This product has great features and apps
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 65" Samsung Smart TV, I just love they way the TV show beautiful pictures it has great sound it's just a good quality product. I like streaming on my Samsung Smart TV because you can download any app that you want it's good for gaming also, the TV shows like you are in a movie theater, you can adjust the lighting on the tv to 3 or 4 mods i love just love that feature and I also like the fact that you can stream on the internet, you can also set a timer for the TV to cut the TV off. I just really enjoy watching my Samsung TV, I just love all Samsung products
Never again - Korean junk made in Mexico
Lasted 18 months of very limited use in guest room. Then the "two fast red blinks, pause, two fast red blinks, pause, one long red blink and and one short red blink" started and was told that it was out of warranty (which I knew, but this seems like manufacturer defect) and then tried sell me new Samsung TV as the repair costs will likely be more than a new one.
Wireless Connection Problems
had the tv for a week without issue and was relatively happy until i started experiencing a wireless connection issue ("mac address is invalid."). my wifi connection was fine (strong on all other devices), but the tv was completely unable to detect my (or any other) wireless router as it had during setup. i tried all the troubleshooting i could find online, but it seems to be a known defect with certain units that may or may not ever go away for the life of the tv. after trying to connect again for another hour it eventually detected my router again for about two minutes before the error quickly returned, at which point i made the easy call to return it for a different brand that won't require a lucky dice roll any time i want to watch tv. obviously a very frustrating outcome.
OK
samsung's app access is not user-friendly. not intuitive and not easy to access when you have numerous regularly used apps. sound is terrible (not a big deal for most like me with a home theater system anyway). brightness and especially light/dark contrast is poor. still playing with color settings, but the presets are not helpful.
KP021: I’m sorry to hear that you’re not fully satisfied with the app access and brightness of your TU7000 TV. I am sorry to hear that you are not happy with the brightness levels of your picture. If the colors on your TV are correct but just a little too dark or bright you can try the different Picture Modes or manually adjust the Brightness settings to your liking. Dynamic Picture Mode will make pictures brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. Go to: Settings > Picture > Picture Mode > Dynamic Or manually adjust the Brightness and other settings to your liking. Press the HOME button on your remote, then navigate to: Settings > Picture > Expert Settings You may also want to disable Power Saving Mode which automatically adjusts the brightness to reduce the TV’s power consumption. Go to Settings> General> Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode. Ambient Light Detection will also automatically adjust the brightness level of the TV, according to the ambient light level, to reduce power consumption. If Ambient Light Detection has adjusted the screen brightness to a too bright or dark level, you can select Minimum Brightness to manually adjust the minimum screen brightness. Go to Settings> General> Eco Solution> Ambient Light Detection Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings>Support>Software Update. You may want to enable automatic updates for convenience. Select Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update. I hope this helps to improve your picture. Should you need further assistance with app access or with image troubleshooting, please contact Samsung Customer Support. Please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs), available 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week. I love my new TV
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After trying my tv for a week, I have to say that I love my new TV. This is such an improvement over my older TV. The image colors are vibrant and defined, and make the viewing experience more enjoyable. Great sound with fabulous smart features, it comes with a lot of apps already installed and it's very easy to access to them. I loved that I can connect my phone via WiFi and use it as the remote control. Set up was super easy. This TV has exceeded all my expectations. All though I do wish it had more than 2 hdmi ports. I highly recommend this TV to everyone.
Buyer Beware!
I bought my tv in January 2021. Mid July 2022, i came home to a black and blue screen. I've tried all of the different restart and/or hard start procedures and was successful twice but goes right back to the same re-cycle blue & black screen. I've never purchased a tv that has went out in n a little more than a year of having it!
Hi, Disappointed in Illinois, Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU700D TV and for sharing your experience with your TV not displaying properly. Please try the following troubleshooting steps: 1. If any external devices are connected, check all input cable connections. 2. If the issue persists, define precisely what is wrong with the display. 3. Try changing channels using the remote control. Is the issue the same on all channels? 4. Press the Home button (looks like a house), select Source, and choose another input source. Is the issue the same on all sources? 5. If the same problem persists, run a diagnostic test. (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test) 6. If the problem disappears during the test, check your TV signal (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information) to check the signal strength. The signal strength must be more than 20 dB (more than 4 bars on the icon) for stable signal reception Should your issue persist, please contact Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website. ~ Samsung Advisor
All I will buy from now on are Samsung TV s
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this tv becasue I heard you could side load andriod and being PC and Galaxy phone guy this was appealing. I had no idea how much more this tv could do and the features WOW. I use my pc for everything and keep very current with software, hardware and OS and lost interest in TVs years back. If you've never Samsung's HUB then you are in for a treat. Well Done Samsung!
4 stars all day
it is extremly hard for me to give 5 stars for anything because everything can be improved on and this 7 series samsung is no different. it is a great tv and setup is fairly easy but i have to agrree with others that the remote needs some improvement. first the instuctions constantly refer to the ok button and there is not an ok button so trial and error places it between the 4 directional arrows. the apps don't function as they should upon the inital setup. there are many features that samsung needs to examin in that area. the set is a great set and the 65” that i got has a really good, not great picture. i do not regret my purchase and other than the remote i'm happy with my purchase.
