[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love the Unscented. Even with no scent, the awesome power of this litter far outweighs any other litter we've tried. It clumps cleanly, with no "muddy" effects. It lasts much longer, as far as odor control and cleanliness, than other litters. There is no detectable odor, even when we occasionally miss a day of cleaning the litter boxes.

I was trying to buy litter for my kitten at a local WalMart and couldn't find it. I saw the Fresh Step on the shelf (lots of different kinds) I had used this brand before when I had 2 kitty girls, who have since passed to kitty heaven. I was trying to find a safe, unscented and more dust-free product for my kitten Henry and Simply Unscented filled the bill. I keep his box very, very clean and I don't like scented litter or those that provide tons of dust that both he and I breathe. He loved this FreshStep litter and put his paw in it when I opened the box up, so it's definitely 'kitten approved' and I am a very happy Cat Mom!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always seem to have problems opening the tab to pour into the litter box. The redemption code is also not always clear. The cat I'm currently fostering seems to like this brand. I just wish she wouldn't track small bits of it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One of my 2 cats is very sensitive to scented litter and that's all that seems to be on the market lately. I finally found this litter and both my girls love it! An added PLUS is that it's a clumping litter as well.

I've been using Fresh Step for over 20 years, but I’m done after their recent formula change. The new ultra-fine texture is terrible. It creates huge urine clumps that are nearly impossible to scoop and just fall apart when you try. It’s a total mess and makes cleaning the litter box way harder than it needs to be. I’ve trusted this brand for two decades, but after this change, I’m never going back. Disappointed and frustrated.

If I could give 0 I would. My cat has a chronic respiratory thing and he’s been getting worse. The formula changed and it’s extremely dusty and no longer clumps but makes a sludgey pastey type pile of urine. I wish I found out sooner because I get it on auto ship through a company and first started using the new formula. I’ve been a customer probably for a decade. I will be searching for a new litter.

I like this unscented litter as one of my cat's gets an irritated bottom with "scented" varieties of litter, plus not dusty when pouring into litter box. I don't think that any cat litter should have perfumes or like additives so I would recommend Fresh Step Simply Unscented.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like Fresh Step cat litter. My kitten went into her litter box immediately after putting it in her box. I like that it's unscented. I have allergies to certain scents . This doesn't smell at all. Great product

The new simply unscented litter is terrible. It does not clump well and is very dusty when pouring it into the litter box. I have been using simply unscented for a number and am very disappointed in the new formula. I will be shopping for a new brand.

Once again a good and trusted product changed for the worse! I instantly smelled a strong smell and thought I’d gotten the scented instead of unscented! I have allergies and asthma which I started having problems with, but to make matters worse, one of my cats lost her hair off around her butt!! She also started biting her paws, stomach & her tail. My other cat, already has neuropathy, I started examining her and she had also lost hair on her stomach and tail. I have a litter robot which I had to replace the motor because the amount of dust had clogged up the sensors; which I have to now repeatedly take it apart to clean so it doesn’t get clogged up again. Everyone is correct, it doesn’t clump as it once did, their waste stays moist which makes it smell even with odor control packets and the dust is horrible!! This new formula is no longer unscented, my kitties keep losing or pulling their hair out and get congested not to mention my symptoms; all the while I’m trying to find another litter we 3 can tolerate. I’ve used Fresh Step unscented seemingly forever. I’m now 70, lost my dear Kayla after 17 years, Mittens is 6 & Sky is 3. I feel like I’m torturing them using this “new formula” that sounds like has not done very many loyal buyers any favors.
