I ran into a lady at the store one day and she recommended that I try this brand. Ever since then I have stayed with the same litter! This litter works great and is perfect for cats that don't like the scented litter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve been using Fresh Step for over 20 years. Tried others and always come back. Works great. Presently have 2 cats with 2 boxes. Clean then 2-3x week. Have had up to 4 cats with 3 boxes and have always been happy. Box is located in basement. Have had it in small alcove off living room and smell was never an issue; moved to basement when curious dog joined the household. We use two mats and still get some liter outside the boxes and tracked about 4-5 feet away. We use unscented because of cats strong noses.

I've used Fresh Step Litter for a long time and have been totally satisfied with the product. All that changed with the new formulation. The clumps are heavy and have the consistency of cement, especially if stuck to the side or bottom of the litter box. The clumps break apart leaving small pieces behind. The litter sticks in the cats paws and scatters EVERYWHERE. It's like having sand all over the house! Sadly, I will be returning the 2 cases of litter that I just bought and replace them with a competitor's product. I sincerely hope your company will listen to the recent reviews and go back to the original formulation.

I bought 42 lbs of the Ultra Unscented clumping litter just to find out that it is not as advertised. This litter is not unscented. It has a perfume smell to it. It may be less scented than the other formulas, but it is NOT unscented. I am very disappointed to have wasted my money, not to mention my time. I now have to make another trip to the store and spend more money to get a truly unscented litter. Fresh Step PLEASE rename this litter. Please do not change meaning of the word "unscented" for those that count on it meaning "no scent". You can use "low scent" or "naturally scented" or "lightly scented", but PLEASE do not call it "unscented".

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got a coupon for fresh step litter from pinchme. I took in a cat during the summer that was pregnant, and she had 5 kittens. I had them on nonclumping, unscented litter for the first few months and was ready to introduce them to clumping. It worked really well and they adjusted quickly. It's a good litter to introduce to older kittens as it is unscented.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the non scented odor control from fresh step. Two of my cats refused to use the litter, I'm not sure why and the other 3 used it fine. Prior to the purchase of this product, all my cats used the litter but the smells were unbearable. I really like this cat litter and it got me curious as to what else it out there. They have so many more options with the Fresh Step brand in which I will be trying out since this first purchase was great. I am not sure why the other two cats were picky about it. Before trying out this product I was purchasing the generic brand and boy is there a difference in smell. I'm definitely switching out of the generic.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a fantasyic coupon to try out Fresh Step Litter. I chose the odorless option, as ive recently adopted a litten. And have an adult cat already. I didnt want the kitten to be put off by fragrence but i wanted the litter to be effective enough for a two cat house hold. Ive filled and emptied the cat box once since tryinf this. Both cats took rite to it. My adult cat did notice i had used a different litter, but it really didnt seem to have any effect on him other wise. The kitten used the box too and when i cleaned the box, even with TWO cats using this box all week. It cleaned easy and wasnt super stuck on or hardened into one nasty clump, usually resulting in a huge mess when trying to dump it out. The dust wasnt bad at all. And it did a good job controlling the odor from their box through out the week with minimal matenience through out said week. I would deffinatly recommend Fresh Step litters. I wont be changing litter brands. But i would be open to trying some of Fresh Steps other Litter options. Like the scented ones and Ultra Odorless.

My husband brought this home 2 weeks ago because finding unscented litter is very difficult. I am very sensitive to odors, especially perfume or artificial scent types of odors. Even a slight whiff can give me a terrible headache. Of course we don't want the house to smell like a litter box either, so it has been a difficult problem! This litter is just INCREDIBLE! It handles the odor with no problem. It doesn't get tracked all over the house. It is easy to scoop. It may be a little bit more expensive than some of the no-name brands, but it is well worth the price. It performs 100 times better than every other brand on the market, and it does it without an odor that makes me sick! Who could ask for more? I am very picky about what I am willing to pay more for, and I am willing to pay for this product. It is completely worth the price, especially as it is only a little bit more expensive than the other brands! This litter clumps solidly, making it easy to scoop. It does NOT turn into a mass of concrete on the bottom of the box. Other litters seem to do this, and it makes our cat incredibly unhappy. He will walk to his box and look at it, then come to us and meow until we go and chip the concrete like litter out and replace it. It is NOT fun at midnight, let me tell you!! This litter never creates this concrete mass in his box, so he doesn't get upset like that. It makes me a very happy mom to Captain Morgan (my cat). In our house, when Captain Morgan isn't happy, NO ONE is happy!! So we will be sticking with this litter, which sticks, but doesn't make concrete!

When we tried this, it turned into slime, and coated my cat's feet in what essentially was wet clay. Now my cat will not use any litter/ box at all, as you can see from the photo, this caused a lot of damage to our home. All carpet and baseboards for about a 20'x4ft' area had to be ripped out ands now we have a cat containment fence and pet door so he can use the outdoors.

I bought this formula at the advice of my vet when my boys' were having some skin allergy issues. We were using a process of elimination to determine what was the culprit, it was food. Anyway, with this being unscented I was concerned about odor. I could not believe how well this product worked in controlling odors. No smell at all, my cats didn't even notice the change in formula. Worked great. Clumped well. I've been using it ever since. Thanks for a great product!
