I had been buying nothing but Aveeno Stress Relief Moisturizing Body Lotion with Lavender, Chamomile & Ylang-Ylang since it first came out. I loved it. The lotion was creamy, highly moisturizing, smoothing and the scent was subtle and wonderful. I was often complimented on how good I smelled when people got close enough for a whiff of the scent. I actually quit wearing perfume! I would buy the lotion and shower gel to give as gifts to friends and family. Everyone loved it. Then they changed it to this. I decided to try it and big mistake. Not only does the lotion not moisturize - it leaves my skin dry and itchy - but the "new" scent is just awful. It smells like every other cheap, artificial scented "oat" and "lavender" lotion out there. It has a chemical aroma. It’s just bad. I hate what Aveeno did to this previously wonderful product. Unless they bring back the original formulation, this is goodbye to Aveeno. I will no longer be buying any of their products.

I have used this lotion for years as I have extremely sensitive skin and most lotions either give me hives, rashes, or just make me extremely itchy. I recently ran out and bought a new bottle and the smell is awful and within 10 minutes I am already covered in hives. If you are looking for the previously loved lotion, this is not it. I definitely won’t be recommending this to family and friends anymore nor will I be buying it again unless it goes back to the old formula.

I’ve always read good things about it online but it’s not available where I live, now I’m on holiday abroad it’s very cold and dry skin, I saw this at Watson’s and jumped at a chance to buy it.. was a bit surprised that it’s so pricy.. the packaging isn’t that fancy.. nevertheless it absorbed instantly and did not just sit on the skin like a lot of lotions do. I don’t even use body lotion but this lotion makes me want to use it. It just works.

Why did you change my wonderful, lovely scent and silky, smooth lotion? I came here to see if anybody else had a problem with it and was surprised to see pages of one star reviews due to the change of the formula. How could it have 4 Star reviews? I went back 128 reviews to see that the five star reviews are from the old formula and from 1 year ago and older. I’m shocked. These reviews should not include the old formula. Which was excellent. I have used it for many many years for my sensitive skin and sensitive to smells. I have no idea what to do. I know I won’t be able to replace it. Thankfully I smelled it when I saw the change in the bottle. How many people did you rip off by not informing us of the change on the bottle? So glad I didn’t buy it. Please consider changing it back. It’s gone up in price consistently, but I have paid it without complaint.

This used to be my favorite lotion, I like it so much I bought it for all of my female family members for Christmas. I loved the subtle lavendar scent. I recently bought a purse sized tube with brown cap and the smell is horrible and nothing resembling lavender. It is sickly sweet and I say sickly because it literally made me nauseous when I wore it. Aveeno you have lost a loyal customer with the scent change.

No company has ever done me this dirty. I've used Aveeno Stress Relief Moisturizing Lotion for over 15 years. I had a huge bottle that lasted a long time, finally finished that and purchased a new one last week. What a shock when I pumped a handful and caught a whiff. That lovely, calming, familiar scent is non-existent. I thought it was a mistake, that I'd grabbed the wrong one, or it was a fake. Until I got online and confirmed that I'm not the only one upset. This seriously feels like a breakup.

I do not the see the companies response as to why the formula changed. I am curious why make the change. I have been using this product for as long as it’s been out. I now have to find another lotion that smells similar to the old formula. I am not happy about the change. I don’t like change.

I have been using Aveeno Stress Relief lotion and body wash daily for years, maybe even a decade. Both products were perfect in every way. The body wash remains a staple in my shower however, I recently purchased a bottle of Stress Relief lotion (my stockpile had run out) and when I initially applied it, I thought that it had expired and gone rancid. To my horror, it hadn’t expired. What I was smelling was the new scent. I can’t use it. It smells sweet and cheap like others have commented. The original formula had an amazing light, calming, and fresh scent. This new scent is offensive to the olfactory cells. Sadly, I am now on the hunt to find a new brand. So, so sad.

My four year old son suffered from severe eczema almost his whole life. I tried every doctor's suggestion as well as every "quack" remedy I could find and nothing made the slightest difference. Then a friend told me this lotion cleared up her daughter's eczema so I decided to try it. It was amazing! After just a few days the eczema was nearly gone. His skin is smooth again and he doesn't wake up crying and itching anymore! I know the product is not advertised to help eczema, but it sure helped my son! It also works great for me as a regular lotion. It is a nice consistency and is a great relief to my skin--I live in a very dry climate and it makes a huge difference.

Loving this lavender-scented moisturizing lotion! The big, economical bottle with a pump makes it so convenient to use. The texture is light, absorbs quickly, and feels super nice on the skin—no greasiness at all! The soft lavender scent is really pleasant and relaxing. I especially love using it in the summer because of how lightweight it is.
