I grew up with cats and my mom always used Tidewater litter, so naturally, I have used it for more than 20 years in my house too. A month or so back, I went to Sam's for my "regular" purchases and they were out of TC. Like when the toilet paper shortage happened, I reasoned that I could use Fresh Step 'for now'. I am so glad that I did. Fresh Step is such a better clumping litter!! TC clumping would still allow urine to seep through to the bottom of the pan leaving a nasty, wet-cement issue on the bottom that I would have to scrape and it still wouldn't come completely clean. Fresh Step literally catches all of the urine in a clumpy ball that is easily removed from the box. I will never switch back, even in a shortage. I will stock up due to low Sam's prices so that I have a month supply. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

I have two cats and litter goes quick. This litter is literally a money saver. The clumps come straight out with little flaking. You can get 2 weeks out of a bag, and it comes with 4. If you line the box with paper, one bag equals a week and then remove paper and you have another week (with daily cleanings obviously). Second week wash the bin and start all over. Keeps urine odors at bay and easy scoop.

I chose Fresh Step total control cat litter since I have 9 cats and this litter promised a lot. I can't say it last the 90 days of freshness as it states. I can say this didn't give me a crop dusting in the face when I was pouring it into the box. I can say it wasn't tracked all over the house and while I could detect the fragrance in a couple of my kitties, it didn't smell as though they took a bath in the fragrance as some cheaper litter brands have. I scooped once a day as I normally do and the clumps were firm and easy to scoop. I haven't had any sticking to the bottom of the box issues either. All my kitties have given it the sniff test and all have used the box so I imagine this rates the product acceptable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only used this litter for Ms. Mia, and I will never use any other. It is long lasting in total control with the scent of Febreze. We love this liter. Just wish it was in a lighter weight bag.

My 3 cats like it and even just lay in the litter box of it for a little while. They also seem to love to dig in it besides just using it. They make a mess outside the litter box but that cleans up easily. We're happy with it and that it has no noticeable pee or poop smells.

I have been buying fresh steps for 16 years. Tried every litter and happiest with your litter. I tried all litters for smell and less dust which they advertise less dust but always lots of dust. I always tell my friends to buy fresh step also. I bought this 42 lb bag a month ago and just changed my two big litter boxes that the 42 lb bag fills perfect. I was amazed I did not have dust flying. I am so happy that my cat room will not be covered with dust anymore as well as my lungs. Thanks for finally figuring this out. My cats thank you too.

We've been steady customers for almost 2 years now and I will not go back to any other litter. The odor control is wonderful and it works great in a regular litter box and my litter robot. I so think it's still pretty dusty but otherwise no complaints!

This item showed up recently at my local warehouse club and i love it. The litter is the same great low dust clumping formula that I've been using, but they've improved the packaging immensely. Four individual bags are shrinkwrapped in one individual package so I only have to muscle the 44 lb. package once in the store. When I get home, I simply remove the shrink wrap and have four 11 lb. packages that I can store by my separate litter boxes. Great thinking, Fresh Step!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 2 cats and this is the only litter that seems to keep the smells at bay and me happy. 1 cat has asthma so I wish it was a little less dusty. Another bad thing is that when the litter touches the bottom of the pan, it cements itself to it! This is like litter 1 out of 27 that I have tried and I can't find anything else that will keep myself and the cats happy.

I usually grab my regular box out of habit and roll right along. the other day however I stopped to compare prices and benefits of each. Fresh Step has been my brand of choice for over 12 years now but I don't try each version that comes out. I appreciated the 2 separate bags and the Febreze fresh smell.
