We've had as many as 12 cats in our home at one time. Twenty two litter boxes that we sift daily. (No one likes a dirty bathroom). This latest version is almost dust free. The odor control is fabulous. Clumping is consistent and the cats don't mind the Fabreeze. A real winner for us to give them the best and the cost is very reasonable as we go through about 340# every year. We ask all our visitors if they can smell our cats, to this day they are all surprised we have so many as they don't smell a thing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cats love fresh step. Both of my cats has allergies to dust in cat litter. fresh step is the only kind i can use for them. they always want to use the litterbox and get excited when i change it which is about every 3 weeks.

I have 4 cats and I like the crystals the best, they seem to last the longest for me and each cat has its own box. My one female cat started going on the pad beside her box so I tried this brand and I think it's gentler on her paws, but whatever the reason the new litter has taken care of the problem ! So she gets her own bag !!!

Its clumps easily to allow for cleanup, has a nice clean scent, and there is no dust noted when changing out the box. My 2 cats have never had an issue. I like also that I can buy a 42 pound bag that will last my cats for more than 2 weeks. Very effective.

I have been buying this for a while, but wanted to try another brand. I will only be buying this from now on. My 15 yr old cat has a kidney disease and is constantly using the litter. The other brand would get muddy instead of clumping. FreshStep is the only brand that makes litter cleaning easier.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried as many times as I have cats, (I have 4 indoor, 3 in/out and 2 outdoor) to use other 'cheaper' brands of cat litter to save money. The reality is using cheaper, cost wise, isn't cheaper! I had to use more product, scoop more often and sometime dump an entire litterbox out! Not even to mention that the odor control was non existent….NOPE....I'll stick with my freshstep. I do add 1 cup of baking soda each weekend to refresh the boxes. It keeps the older litter clumping so I never have to fully dump a box!

I have two automatic cat litter boxes for my 2 cats and this is the perfect litter for my boxes. I never smell the odor! The other clumping litters break up into small pieces that the rakes can't rake it up. The frebreze just keeps everything smelling good. And yes, I am lazy about cleaning out cat boxes. Now if someone could come and teach one of my cats how to cover her mess! My cats are picky about a clean cat litter box.

We have litter boxes in the basement, but due to an issue with an older cat and the stairs, we also need to keep a box in the upstairs bathroom. This litter is the best at killing the odors in a litter box that needs to be near day-to-day human living spaces.

I have always used Fresh Step kitty litter and when I found it at the store I buy kitty litter at, I bought it to try it out. It definitely controls odors and as usual, works great with clumping. I have my litter box in a bathroom and I pass there frequently and never smell odors.

When Baby Lynn first came into the family, I tried many different litters (usually was whatever was the cheapest). When I finally found Fresh Step, the cats would not use anything else. So...now it is all we use and it's the only one that I rely on to keep the smell down and to keep the cats happy.
