I am currently taming 4 kittens who use a lot of litter, along with their mother and my 2 already inside cats, so I use a 42 pound bag in about 8 days or so. This litter works well for them, but my boyfriend has a male cat who has not been neutered yet and his urine is too strong for this particular type. We will be purchasing the more expensive Fresh Steps next.

I have been buying fresh steps for 16 years. Tried every litter and happiest with your litter. I tried all litters for smell and less dust which they advertise less dust but always lots of dust. I always tell my friends to buy fresh step also. I bought this 42 lb bag a month ago and just changed my two big litter boxes that the 42 lb bag fills perfect. I was amazed I did not have dust flying. I am so happy that my cat room will not be covered with dust anymore as well as my lungs. Thanks for finally figuring this out. My cats thank you too.

This may come off as gross or TMI but I have been using Fresh Step for more than ten years and have never had to dump out and clean my litter boxes EVER. I scoop out the clumps a few times each day and refill as necessary when they get low but that's it. There is absolutely no odor issues or "left behinds" with this litter. I've tried most of the other brands on the market over time but this is the stuff!

I have been buying this product for the past 2 years and it is my favorite, my cat has Inflammatory Bowel Disease and despite being on a prescription diet his stools can still be soft as well as quite stinky. This litter eliminates that problem and the clumping action allows me to save on litter by scooping out the urine clumps. Any clumping litter tends to stick to car paws and make it's way out of the litter box but with a litter maty, this is greatly reduced. Whatever amount that does get out is easily vacuumed and the Fabreeze makes the vacuum contents smell nice. Personal favorite, would highly recommend.

I love the fact when I am pouring the litter into the litter box there is virtually no dust, and with the addition of Febreze I don't have a stinky litter box in my bathroom. My cats seem to like the litter also and have no problem with the Febreze scent.

I didn't like that this product didn't have anything to freshen the old litter. It was awkward to use when first opened (heavy) and when almost empty (can't control the bag).

i won't buy any other litter!!! the only complaint i have is that the container used to come in a easy to carry pail/bucket and now it comes in a block that has a difficult handle to obtain and hurts the hand to carry a 50 lb product. go back to the bucket. the cat litter is the best, even went on vacation for a week came back to house with 3 cats, and didn't smell. know thats great litter!!!

I like to frequently change my kitty’s litter, so it’s awesome knowing we have more in our closet for her instead of worrying about going out to get more. You get 42 pounds for less than $20! I learned this is way better than buying half for about $16. A $2 difference! Definitely worth it especially if you’re a Fresh Step lover.
