I've used Fresh Step for years. I switched to Tidy Cat to try to save money. Big mistake. I saved money but wound up using a lot more litter. The Tidy Cat wouldn't clump so I was unable to scoop it properly, this caused it to get a strong urine smell in days causing me to have to change the entire box every 5-6 days, the cats didn't like the smell either and found alternative places to go. The savings wasn't; because I had to use so much more litter. I switched back to fresh step as soon as I finished the last bag of Tidy Cat. Fresh Step almost always clumps, and by mixing in a bit of the crystals, my cats and I are very happy now. I should never have switched, the cost difference wasn't worth it. Even though it's a bit more expensive I recommend it every chance I get. Thank you for wonderful products.

I have been using this brand for several years and was very satisfied, didn't even mind paying more than other brands. But now the "new & improved less dust" formula is a total bust. My opinion is the "less dust" marketing ploy was to cover the fact they wanted to cut their costs, providing an inferior product and still charge even more than before. It is NOT less dusty, not that there was ever a problem, the litter is so course that it barely sifts through the sifter, is much messier and, worst of all, has barely any clumping effect of the kitty urine. "Total Control"? Of what? The one star is for the pleasant scent. At least they kept that. I will be shopping for a different brand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I insist that my owner purchase this product for myself and my mates, my sons and my daughters. It makes doing our business so much more enjoyable. The hard clumps, the reduced dust. As long as my owner does his due diligence and cleans our litter boxes on a regular basis, there is virtually no stink.

I bought this two months ago, and will be buying it everytime from here on out, no questions asked. Our little fluffy LOVES it and so do we! It smells amazing and doesn't leave dust all in the air or on her previous fur..score for both of us! This product is sure not to disappoint.

I have two automatic cat litter boxes for my 2 cats and this is the perfect litter for my boxes. I never smell the odor! The other clumping litters break up into small pieces that the rakes can't rake it up. The frebreze just keeps everything smelling good. And yes, I am lazy about cleaning out cat boxes. Now if someone could come and teach one of my cats how to cover her mess! My cats are picky about a clean cat litter box.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this product is super great! i love all fresh step litter but this is one of the best!!!!!! i would recommend to a freind and family members anyday! the price is great also and available in most stores everywhere. youcan even order online

We're a 3 cat household, and I've tried every major brand of litter out there over the years. Bottom line, you'll spend less on other brands, but they have a much shorter life span. Value for dollar (and smell control), this litter is absolutely the best! It's a necessity in the summer weather, when everything seems to smell more. There is a light fragrance, but it's not as strong as some of the others in the FS line, which is good. Cats' noses are sensitive, and I don't think they enjoy the perfume bomb of fragrance in some of these litters. The clumping action is strong and helps remove waste from the box completely which keeps litter fresher longer.

I really like this Total Control cat litter. Instead of using a generic cat litter that cost less I wanted to try this product. I love the smell of febreeze so I knew this would be great. My cat really loves using this litter and never makes a mess. I plan on buying this product from now on.

I only tried this litter once, when my usual litter was sold out and I liked it very much. It was very much the same as my usual litter and I would probably buy it as my regular except I'm very much a creature of habit and will stick with the Extreme unless it is sold out when I go shopping.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have bought this from our local warehouse store and although the product is great the bags are cumbersome and hard to handle. Especially for seniors and those with disabilities. It is also hard to read the paw points off the package.
