[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] removed flower from in front of fence and wanted to put in grass, tilled up surface and put down the seed , watered every day and after about a week sprouts were all over and I started showing grass. It is now full and looks like all the rest. would not have believed it to be that easy. GREAT job Scotts

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used Scotts® EZ Seed® Sun & Shade (New Formula) last week on a super thin spot near the driveway. In the past I've always used the stuff that looks like green fluff. I love the EZ seed because it comes in a great shaker container that can be sealed if you don't use it all. It shakes out really evenly & doesn't all clump out at one time. It's only been 6 days in the heat of August & I'm seeing grass : ) I've been relentless about watering the spot a little every morning but there is always something to water. I really like that the mulch part turns light brown if it's starting to get dry so you can tell exactly what it needs easy breezy. I'm getting great results & getting grass to grow has always been a struggle for me. I like the EZ seed much better than the green clumpy stuff because it's so easy to shake out & I'm not in it with my hands or getting down on my old knees. Fast results too! I should add that my spot is in full sun.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hoped this product would effectively address the bare spots in the lawn. Unfortunately I did not find it to work. In fact the combination of fertilizer, seed and mulch seemed to be too much for what I was hoping to achieve: the lawn spots to fill in. I use Scotts seeds alone now and find them to be effective with simple watering.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used EZ Seed multiple times during the spring -summer of 2014, and constantly felt the need to re seed, as the applications didn't trully all take effect. I thought for certain the grass would come back after the winter, but to my disappointment....the areas I used the EZ Seed are absolutely dead. The grass never made it through the winter.

I used this on my hard to grow lawn which i have full sun it worked fast the grass was thick and and healthy my neighbors were amazed at how fast it grew. recommended to a coworker who tried it and called to thank me because her lawn turned out beautiful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well I worried as i used this as here in Jersey the rain has been like every day but the seeds did sprout a nice patch to fill in around areas I had to repair form winter damage and an area where a few eeds took over last year and were wiped out and this seed did the job I was happy with the results

I bought this a couple months ago to seed an area I completely tilled. Instead of getting beautiful green grass I got ugly tedious sticker plants. At first I thought they were weeds until my kids kept getting stickers in their feet. Now I get to deal with these pests all year unless I pick them out by hand. Not at all happy and I used to recommend Scott's brand, not any longer though.

It never fails to come up and fills in perfectly with the other grasses in my lawn. Even with the nonstop torrential rains that Ohio has had this spring, it stayed put and came up beautifully. I highly recommend Scotts grass seed, be it for sun, shade, or tall fescue lawns, it all performed great!
