Great shredder

Item is not working.

Just hooked this up and got it running. Compared to our last one that sounded like a trash truck, this one is really quiet and smooth running. Shreds 18 sheets as advertised, no problem. Big capacity bin is very nice. You can do a lot of shredding before you have to empty. Love the wheels as these are heavy to move from one spot to another without them. I would buy this one again.

Specs are excellent for the price. Other brands are selling similar specs for the price twice or higher than this one. Reliability is uncertain at this point. There's a pretty loud "thud" when the motor starts, which didn't happen in my previous shredders. It is annoying enough to cause concern. When the motor is running, it's fairly quiet. I am not ready to recommend this to anyone.

This shredder started off great, doing a fine job. I never overloaded it or any other abuse, and as it is in a household, gets little use compared to what it is rated for. After five months, the "bin full" light is stuck on, even with an empty bin. I cleaned out the mechanism as best as I could and also examined it to see if there was a stuck switch or a blocked photocell or the like. Nothing seems out of sorts except not being able to get it to run anymore. Time to go back to Fellowes I guess;

When I bought the Shredder it was working fine and I was promoting buying one to everybody within ear shot. I even bought 2... How ever now I am having problems with the shredder shredding. Instead of going fast like all shredders it Pulsating now; and never really completes the shredding of the sheet. It a good shredder I just don't know how to fix this pulsating problem. Any suggestions? If not I'm contacting the store to return it.

I went back and forth on buying this shredder. Thought of getting a cheaper 12 sheet model but knew much of what i would be regularly shredding would be more than 12 sheets and folded. So one day i just put in my cart and took it home. I was nothing but amazed by the build quality when i opened the box. It’s heavy. I realized i had bought a professional level machine and it was much, much better than others i had seen in this price range. I began shredding. It’s very quiet. Piles of papers i had planned to take to a professional shredder and pay to be shredded suddenly were gone and cross shredded. I shredded for a solid 30 plus minutes non stop multiple, multiple times and it never once jammed or struggled to shred everything i threw at it. I wish i had not waited to make this purchase. It is worth every penny to know my documents are securely destroyed. It now only takes a second to place the daily junk mail and personal information in to the slot and watch it just quietly disappear. That feels really good after having such a back up of paper that is now all securely gone. If you need a shredder ….. Buy this one you wont regret it!

I just shredded a lot of paper and this shredder performed very well. Overloaded paper was very easily reversed and the fan kicked in automatically to cool off the unit. The bin full warning, however, came on a bit prematurely. This is a very nice shredder overall at a low cost!

I bought this a week ago and have shredded about 10 years worth of taxes several pages at a time and it has had no issues. I had a Fellows strip shredder for about 20 years that just wore out. It was all metal and very durable so I was skeptical about getting one made of plastic. I did count one batch of paper to make sure it was 18 pages to see how it was handled and it worked fine. I think varying the number of pages at a time is a better strategy for the sake of the motor. I like that it is on all the time and only runs when you insert paper. Also the cross cut makes it easier to empty into a trash bag. I went with the 18 page because of the larger bin. I think with a smaller bin I would have been frustrated emptying more often with the volume I am shredding. I am very pleased with my purchase. Will update if I run into problems.

I plugged this in and got nothing. Checked my electrical outlet and it’s fine. Made sure the back switch was in the proper position and still got nothing. I can’t comment on how this shreds because it won’t even turn on.I had this delivered because I’m somewhat immobile. Now I have to haul it back to a warehouse for a refund. Very disappointed. I should have heeded the other reviews that said to stay away from this product.
