I bought this exact mattress a few years ago because I needed a firm mattress. I then moved to another state and it was easier to buy a new mattress at my new location - so of course, I chose this mattress. Because of various back issues I had to have a firm mattress. This is NOT the same quality mattress and is quite soft. I put an earlier review indicating that I was suspect since it came is a plain brown box ... but I tried to give it a chance. Well, it is giving me great back pain to continue to sleep on this mattress. With a ten year warranty, what are my options? Will Serta replace it with a FIRM mattress?

Just too soft! Trying to return.
We bought this mattress 3 months ago and have really tried to like it. My husband cant sit on the side of it without sliding off and hates it. And I have horrible difficulty turning from side to side while lying on it because I just sink into the bed and just this morning I couldnt even get out of bed without help from my husband. (Truth be told I am not a tiny woman, more like a 2xl, but I have never had this trouble with any mattress including cheap air mattresses.) So, we chatted online with Sams and they gave us a Sams/Serta number to call. We called and gave them all our information. Supposedly in a week or two someone will call us to arrange a pick up and then we have to call back with a pick up number and they will credit our account. Then we will move our 10 year old worn out mattress back to our room and maybe we will have an ok nights sleep until we can by a better one. What a hassle. I am not sure I like this whole bed in a box idea! Really not sure memory foam is all its cracked up to be. I think we will end up doing the old fashioned thing and go to a mattress store if and when Sams ever picks up this thing. So if you like a really super soft mattress this might make you super happy. Otherwise, think again.
Does not Inflate and Cannot Return
I bought this mattress and after almost a month, it still did to inflate all the way. It is currently at 10-11in high. I tried calling the number provided in the description but since I bought it in store, I had to call the store directly. When I explained to the store the issue I was having with the mattress I was told I needed to bring it in. This is a King mattress and I live by myself, I cannot carry a 127 lb mattress into Sams Club. I was told "that was my problem and not Sam's Club." I am unable to return it or get a refund for a mattress that is defective. This was poor quality on a mattress sold as well as poor customer service by Sam's Club.

Not a fan!
I purchased a new mattress this weekend from somewhere else because I honestly thought that we have had this mattress for waaaay longer than a year. It's been uncomfortable for about 4 months now. We have rotated it on a regular basis to keep it level. But it is still uncomfortable. When I looked at my Sam's club purchases, it has been just over a year. I felt like it was way too firm before and now it has spots that we just sink into. I hope the mattress I purchased this weekend has what it takes. I wouldn't recommend this mattress for anyone with aches and pains prior to purchasing. Because you will have them after about 6 months of sleeping on this bad boy.

It IS 12" and it IS awesome!
Not sure why other people have had size issues but this mattress DEF expanded after several hours to 12". We did lay it flat on the low profile box spring and didn't sleep on it for a day. And another person saying the cover couldn't be removed to be washed is wrong...there's clearly a zipper for removing the cover on the bottom of the mattress. It doesn't get easier to buy than this...box has handholds and wheels so you just pull it to your truck or SUV and load 'er in! Slept great on it and for the $, it can't be beat. Sure, I had a $2700 Temperpedic full foam in past....but it was warm and while I dont sink as deep in this Serta as I did in the Temper, I didn't notice while sleeping or waking without any aches. SO...money saved and value received.
1st night was great sleep!
So far I like it. It is more firm than I normally would like, but yet it was still very comfortable. I slept very soundly. Only time will tell if this continues. As far as the height of the mattress, after leaving it unfolded in my living room for 24 hours, then moving it to the bed(the move actually added more height), it now measures 12". See attached pic.
Serta SleepToGo…in the garbage
We purchased this mattress at our local Sam’s Club 16 months ago. We got it to replace a 10 year old Serta mattress that had been great to us. We read through hundreds of reviews and decided to give it a go for the price point and overall positive rating. We both have horrible lower back pain since getting this mattress and it continues to get worse. There are indentations/slumps in the mattress on both sides where we sleep. I have resorted to sleeping at the top and foot of bed where there aren’t slumps but still wake up every single day with lower back pain. We wanted to love this mattress, but unfortunately we wasted our money and will be replacing it with something of better quality. We trusted the Serta brand but sadly won’t be purchasing another one of their mattresses after this.

Comfy, but lots of fumes
This product is a memory foam & latex foam mattress. I don't believe it's a hybrid. I don't think there are coils in it. It comes delivered in something like a 2x2x4 cardboard box. The mattress is vacuum packed in plastic, folded in half, and rolled up. Once you cut it open, you have to let it expand for a few hours, even a day would be good. I would recommend that you don't throw away your old mattress just yet! After opening the new one, let it sit in the garage for 2 weeks prior to using, as the outgassing fumes are terrible and most likely not good for your health. After replacing the old mattress with it, you should run an activated charcoal air filter in the room for a couple months to take out the remaining VOC's that outgas.
BEWARE of getting a used dirty mattress
Sams keeps deleting my reviews! Recieved a used mattress with head stain, butt dip, and flattened side. Was in an unmarked box and clear bag that was shrink wrapped Now have to rebox which is impossible to return via fedex, or gl to sams club store to return a 125# mattress.
