The wood is very soft and developed cracks while building and more since then. We have had to reinforce with treated pine to make it sturdy. It has been used for three years and is slowly falling apart with normal wear of 4 kids under 9 years. I wouldn’t buy it again or recommend these products. Would include pictures but it won’t allow me.

Overall this is an awesome play set and our 3 boys love it. Delivery to your door is a plus, and the crew helped put the 4 large boxes and slide in our garage. Assembly is a BIG job and it took my wife and I over 40hrs. While each part is stamped with a number, they are faint and hard to decipher. Finding parts is a huge challenge as there is no clear organization to the boxes containing the parts. Quality is also somewhat a concern. We had multiple parts that were either bowed, cracked or both. I attempted to contact backyard discovery to request replacement parts but no one responded. Disappointing to say the least.

I am disappointed in the quality of wood and amount of work it takes to build it. I wish I could just break it down and get my money back. But it is to much work after building it. First the pieces are not clearly marked. Each step has parts all over the boxes, and your using 100 screws or more per section. Then the wood is not pure cedar it super light and fragile. Screw a little to much wood crack. It says it could have up to 8 kids I am scared everything may break if the kids are a little rough. It took weeks to build a few hours at a time and pieces were not fitting right in some cases. It was a total waste of money for me for the quality. Very poor quality wood..

We bought this for our 3 youngest kiddos, and we are SO glad we did! With the increased amount of time we are spending at home with the Covid19 pandemic, its wonderful that our kids can still go out and be kids! This was well, well made. It took 1 person 4 days to complete.
