Mostly, HP always comes through with a good reliable product. Nothing lasts forever, as my last HP laptop took a dump before it's time. BUT, I still bought this one hoping that it will perform and last just as long as it is suppose to. So here I am again with HP!

Opened up started computer turned off and would not start up again. Called HP talked with them for hour and half could not get working. They sent prepaid box to return to get sent back for repairs. Received back from repair and working fine so far.

Speed is OK. Operates well-a bit warm after 30 min or so, but this unit has undoubtedly the worst keyboard for seeing in daylight that I've ever come across. The backlighting is nice at night (wish it would stay on all the time when plugged in), but in daylight you have to be right on top of the keyboard, looking at a 90°angle to be able to read it. Any other angle makes it almost impossible to see for us older non touch-typists.

Laptop is a very nice item to purchase for on the go projects

It is almost 3 weeks I have been using it. Descent battery life approx 4 hours continuous usedbefor I plug it in. Bright ness is descent enough. It is fast!

Just wish it had a CD rom...but it's fast & works great for what I'll be using it for. Probably will have to get a mouse, though.
