Rusted all over, cracked supports- poor quality.

I purchased this play set intending for it to last a while with the claims not to crack or rot, etc. it has rusted all over and the supports holding the platform are nearly rusted through making it unsafe. I’m very disappointed that this only lasted a few years.

Thankful for this purchase!

We just bought this set and our kids love it! We bought it during the COVID-19 social distancing time, so delivery was just offered at the end of the driveway with one man removing it from the large truck. As far as assembly, it takes a while, so be prepared! It took 3 days total, but working about 2-3 hours each of those 3 days...but it was worth it. The kids love the swings, slide, and monkey bars. I can even stand straight in the tower (I’m 5’4”). We are very happy with our purchase and I would recommend it. I may look at purchasing the stabilizer set in the future.

Dangerous for small childeren

The Good: Instructions are excellent. Construction seems very solid. Kids from 4 to 12 seem to have a great time playing on it. The BAD: I bought this playset for my 4 year old. She abosolutely loves it! Unfortunately there is no real safe way for her to get onto the landing to go down the slide or play with the steering wheel. The spacing of the grips on the rock walls and location of the grab bars at the top is too far apart for someone 3 foot 6 inches tall. The ladder arcs over and is horizontal right at the top. The spacing of the rungs and grab bars is such that she can fall thru very easily. To get to the platform she has to put herself in a very akward position basically pulling her knee to her chin to reach the last rung without hitting her head on the rail around the landing. If the ladder was more of a regular ladder, or the rungs were closer together, I'd give it 5 stars. I would not recommend for kids under 5.

Thanks for the detailed review. We are currently looking into this issue with our quality team. We value our customer feedback and want to make sure the products you are using are safe and fun. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call or email us for further info. **Update** ASTM is an independent organization that helps to create safety specifications for Residential Playground Equipment and dictates spacing allowed on play features such as the arched climber. This Swing Set complies with that spacing specification. That being said, we do listen to our customers and value your feedback. We have updated the play set top rung to deck spacing to approximately 9 ½ inches to help make this transition easier for smaller children and still remain ASTM compliant.

Well worth the price and time!

My 3-yr-old LOVES this thing! He has no trouble with the ladder, which was my main concern. I researched playsets for months before deciding on this one. Wooden playsets are either way too expensive or made from cheap foreign materials. Playsets made with Pacific hardwood start at $2k and will still decay. This Lifetime playset is very well-made and the instructions were nice and detailed. It helped to read them completely before starting, just to see how and when each piece fit together. Be sure to use only one blister pack of parts at a time!

Grandkids love it!

We almost bought the Climb and Slide Playset but decided on the Lifetime Adventure Tower instead because it has more activities. We bought this just in time to assemble it before the cool weather arrived. My wife and I worked together as a team for about six evenings. Our son-in-law helped put the roof on. Halfway through the process we had the part numbers memorized. The instructions were clear and precise. I was pleasantly surprised to see a separate package of spare parts. Yes indeed! The grandkids love it, therefore, so do we! Note: We added the baby swing that's on the end. It does not come with the unit.

Love it..... But....

We purchased and installed the swing set two weeks ago for our grandchildren that range in age from 2 1/2 - 4 1/2, and they love it. Our only concern is the ladder leading to the clubhouse. As the child climbs the arched ladder, there is 10" opening between the top rung and the clubhouse platform, which the child can easily fall through. I contacted Lifetime and explained the situation. We feel an additional rung at the top of the arch would prevent our grandchildren from falling through. Lifetime advised they aren't able to send the requested rung because it will void the warranty and potentially be a safety issue. Isn't the 10" gap that my grandchild can fall through a safety issue? Wish they had a better answer.

Thanks for taking time to post Louise. The gap has been looked at quite a few times by our engineers. It used to be 13" but we closed the gap as much as we could while still adhering to ASTM standards. ASTM is a code of regulations that manufacturers have to follow. I know this may not be the answer you were looking for but I hope it helps.

Sturdy!!

I had just assembled a wooden play set from Toys-R-Us and used for less than a year and it was already showing signs of deterioration. I had to move to a new house and I didn't think the wooden set would survive an attempted move. I saw this swing set for roughly the same price and it is made so much better! It looks more like playground quality than the wooden set. In fact, I even swing with my son! I wouldn't even sit on a swing from the wooden set! I assembled this by myself over the course of a few days. It would definitely help to have another person assist, but you can do it alone if need be.

Terrible packaging quality.

First let me say now that it's FINALLY together it's the best swing set. Now to the awful part. When you buy it, pay someone else to deal with the company's horrible packaging and mistakes. First, the boxes and marked 1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3. Nothing about a 4th piece which is the slide. So when you buy it, insist you get all pieces. The slide is NOT in the 3 boxes. Now open the boxes and instructions. The instructions say things are marked with letters. It would make life so much easier if they were. Only about 10% were marked and they were the parts that were obvious. My husband who assembles things all time, started struggling through it, but we were following directions to a "t". When we got to part of step 3, we realized we were sent two swing poles instead of 1 swing pole and 3 regular poles. It was a nightmare. It was too late to try and take apart so we ended up drilling holes to make it work. The roof didn't fit right but we finally made a way to make it work. Based on that whole experience I wouldn't recommend anything from Lifetime unless it comes with professional installation. Now that it's together, it's solid and we are happy, but not worth the tears we cried or getting injured over fighting to get things to fit.

Fantastic quality!

We got the whole lifetime playground set up about a month ago and it’s been a huge hit with my three children, ages are two, eight and nine and there’s something for everyone. The build quality is wonderful and I think the stuff is in last forever. Highly recommend!

My Grandkids Love This!!!!

I purchased the Adventure Tower Play set six months ago. My grandkids love it. I put it by our pool so they can slide down the slide into the pool. They have a ball with it. We live in Arizona so I installed a mister system on it. It keeps it cool so they can play in the heat of the day. When they are done playing the tower holds their pool toys. I'm so happy I bought this. I would highly recommend this play set. Instructions for assembly were easy to follow. I am a Grandmother...my son and I put it together.
