After 3 years it’s rusted through

We bought the set in December of 2016 and 2 years later parts of the tower were completely rusted through. I contacted costumer service and was told that rust was not covered in the warranty and I could purchase replacement parts. Now, things are worse and a piece under the tower has fallen off and I am concerned about the safety. I would have expected a play set at this price point would not start deteriorating so quickly.

We’re sorry to hear that your playset is rusting. Earlier versions of our playsets were built with non-galvanized, powder-coated steel, but we’ve since upgraded to galvanized steel for significantly improved rust resistance and long-term durability. This change was made in direct response to customer feedback, and we’re confident it will provide a better experience for future customers. If you purchased an earlier version and are experiencing rust issues, we want to help. Please reach out to our Customer Service team so we can work with you to make this right. They can be contacted through Live Chat on our website (lifetime.com) Monday-Friday, or over the phone Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at (800) 225-3865. Love this playset but rusted quickly

We love this playset but started rusting after a few months. It is two years old now and rust has taken over. Paying a little extra for stainless hardware would have made this a 5 star review. Unlike most playset, this is big enough for older kids, built sturdy, and super fun. A simple fix could give you a good 10 years out of set.

Cheap, rusting product

Don't be fooled by the Lifetime brand it does NOT last. After 5 years the entire play set has rusted and falling apart. They charge a premium and one would think you'd get more than 5 years out of it. I'd give this less than one start if it was possible.

Great Play Set

I bought this play set three years ago and is still looking like brand new!! My daughter and all the neighborhood kids love it!! I notice that the set needs more anchorage parts for the monkey bars and Lifetime send them for free. The best play set ever!!!

Great set but safety concern

I am very happy with this set except the space between the ladder and the upper tower floor is large enough for a four year old to fall through. Also, when a four year old is playing in the upper tower he must be cautious not to fall through the openings at the rock walls. Any safety suggestions to remedy this?

We love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this play set for our grand babies about a month ago. They just love it. We’ve had story time inside the “Princess Castle” area and look forward to many years of memories. Maybe grandma will even go down the slide...

We love this for all ages!!!

We have had this set since May 2014. I got it for my kids and grandkids. My 17 year old and her friends play on it. My 24 year old autistic sonenjoys his time on it as well. My 6 1/2 year old visually impaired (and short for her age) child loves it as well. She hasn't had any problems navigating the equipment since we did hand over hand to orient her. The 4 year old grandson has learned to move like a monkey at the zoo and we are shopping for a bucket infant/toddler swing for the 7 month old to start joining in the fun. Nothing takes the place of adult supervision and guidance. My oldest daughter and I put it together ourselves. It took a while since we had the help of my autistic son. It supports all sizes and needs of our household and even gives the teens (and adults) a place to get back in touch with their inner child. We bought this to accommodate his size as well as give room for the others to grow and play.

We love it

We have owned this swingset for 5 months now. I had done reseach for probably six months making sure this is what we needed. Was worried most about the curved ladder and little kids but kids as young as two can do it. I do stand close by most times to be sure they don't need help. I also love this swingset as I can climb up to the top to be with them and I can also swing with them and they also love that. Well worth it. We opted to have someone put together for us and it only took them half a day.

Love it!

I bought this three years ago. My girls love it and I bought it because metal is supposed to last longer then wood. Some random metal has started to rust like on the swing chains and a small part on a support bar but lifetime has stood behind their product for that reason I am giving it 5! I love lifetime and a company that stands behind their products. I won’t buy anywhere else for my outdoor stuff.

Amazing!

I bought this a week ago, and it’s amazing. My kid loves it! I did break a few bolts putting it together, called customer service, and they had more sent out to me. A couple days shipping, but ended up not using them all. Great service overall by everyone I interacted with. It did take a few days to put together.
