To be clear, I've been a Vital Proteins consumer for over 4 years. Totally happy with the product, use it daily. When the scoop was discontinued in the interest of the environment, I simply saved the scoops out of my stocked canisters. However this “new, improved” cardboard canister is a total disaster. Did anyone there actually try this out before unleashing it? Certainly I cannot be the only consumer with hand/grip issues? To say the new packaging requires a “learning curve” would be kind. When I need to employ handyman tools to open a container is beyond ridiculous. Yes I am furious. Once the 2 “new, improved” containers are gone, so am I.

I've been using this brand for several years. I thought eliminating the scoop was petty, but whoever came up with the new packaging, I predict will lose his/her job after people run low on their first tub with this packaging. I'm done with the brand. Opening packages should never be this difficult, "pinch and lift"? Really? You didn't consider that some of your customers may be older than 40. After ripping it open with a knife, I poured it into the old container.

Not a fan of the new “pinch and pull up” packaging! I've been using this product for year and love it, but the new packaging (although environmentally friendly) is difficult to open. Every time, I've had to use a knife to cut at the perforated edge. For anyone who has poor grip strength to “pinch,” this will be a huge problem.

I love this product. I see the difference and feel it in my skin. The flavor is minimal (I put it hot water with lemon every morning) and I can barely taste it. As far as packaging, I imagine all of these people complaining just don't know how to read instructions. Not only is this more sustainable, it is very easy. Can't recommend enough!

Been using this generally great Collagen Peptieds product for a number of years, however, new packaging is poor and unsatisfactory. It may or may not be contributing to difficulties getting product to easily and fully disolve which is also unsatisfactory. Please fix these issues which are sufficiently significant to send me looking for alternative products.

I'm jumping on the NO PAPER CONTAINER BANDWAGON. it is horrible!!!!! As others, had difficulty getting it opened. Then in trying to transfer contents to another container (wish I had saved the plastic one 😡), I nearly spilled all of the contents out because the flimsy paper buckled under my pouring hand. Come on people!!!!

Terrible packaging, won't buy this anymore unless the packaging goes back to the way it was. Paper is meant for 1 time use like the paper straws that replaced the plastic straws. It's horrible to keep humidity out - product just spoils/clumps and it deteriorates each time I open and close it. Opening the package was also a big mess. This was not well thought out. Please bring back the old packaging.

Vital Proteins has abandoned any pretense of meeting the needs of it customers. Marketing an illusory benefit to the planet by replacing a functional package with garbage and eliminating the scoop. The two things that top all bad reviews, Degrade and cheapen product and sell as added value. Profit margin increases, customer satisfaction plummets and planet does not care.

I know I won't be the only one who will no longer purchase due to the new packaging. First you take away the scoop and now you have this ridiculous cardboard canister! Not only was it terrible to open, but I don't believe it's going to stay fresh! Bring back the plastic container!

Dissolves easily into my coffee, leaving a bit more of a creamy texture but I still add my regular milk. While I have used this product for some time (over a year), I have not noticed an improvement in my nails, skin, nor my hair. The prior plastic tub with twist top cap was easy to open and close. The new cardboard packaging is difficult and cumbersome to open and putting the “lid” back on creates a poor fit. There is no scoop inside to dispense the powder. I fully expect moisture to get into the contents and damage the dry white powder. Who was the moron that approved this poorly done design?
