Product is great! Used for a long time. New packaging is going to be in marketing mistakes hall of fame. Horrible. We and MANY of our friends have stopped using due to new packaging. Unable to open without destroying the container. Clear from reviews below we are not only ones who really dislike and have troubles with packaging. Will be interesting to see if the company responds to its loyal customers or not or if it is just all about saving a couple of pennies to the bottom line…

The product is amazing! The packaging is AWFUL! I don't care how environmentally responsible you want to be, bring back the plastic containers and scoops. I'm so glad, I saved my scoop before you cancelled those too. This packaging is the absolute WORST! Its lid is not steady or reliable, if I grab it I have to make sure to hold the lid, so it doesn't spill. You should listen to your customers about this and stop telling us how you're trying to be better for the environment! Just improve this cheap paper container already!

I will no longer buy Vital Proteins since they keep messing with the packaging. First they removed the scoop so you had to have your own scoop which was fine but now they have changed the packaging from plastic to this VERY THIN CHEAP CARDBOARD that doesn't even support the product. The package bends & folds just trying to pull the top off now. There is NO WAY this product will stay fresh in this type of cheap packaging. I will buy ANOTHER BRAND that isn't ignorant to put such a expensive product in packaging it can't even be stored in!!

I'm pretty happy with this product. My hair feels softer and I'm finally meeting my daily protein intake with this added to my daily diet. I barely notice a taste which I prefer. And LOVE that the container is 90% paper versus plastic. You have to pay attention to direction when opening container but worth it - the less plastic my food touches the healthier the product is for my body.

I just want to take the time to thank you for changing the lid and jar to an environmentally recyclable product. You must care about our enviroment and all the damage that plastic is doing to our planet. The jar and lid are made out of cardboard now. Brilliant idea! Thank you so much. We have been using this product for about a year and love it. My skin and nails never looked better!

The new packaging is horrible! Go back to the tubs. While we're at it, include the scoop! None of these items end up in landfills, as we all find plenty of other uses after finishing the container. It's NOT more sustainable, as we have to find ANOTHER container to place the product in since the new packaging does not seal properly for storage, and then track down something else to measure or use a spoon that isn't the right measurement!

I can't believe how far this company has slid downhill over the last few years. I've used this product for years and then very happy, for the most part. Now, I just opened my very last container that I will ever purchase. First, you take away the scoop. As if people just have measuring spoons hanging around at the office, if that's where they use the product. So apparently we all need to purchase a set of measuring spoons to keep in the container from now on. If that's not bad enough, you now change the packaging to some sort of cardboard contraption that is near impossible to open. I know that my dad and stepmom with their arthritis would never be able to open this container. I wasn't able to open it simply because I have long nails. I literally had to go to my neighbor's house and have them open it for me! That's ridiculous! Not to mention that on the inner seal there's a disclaimer saying that if you open the product you are agreeing to arbitration and that if you don't agree you should return the product. What kind of nonsense is going on with this company! I'm done. I will be giving their competitors my business in the future.

I really struggle opening the new paperboard canister. I just bought my 2nd one. I struggled opening the first one and ended up using pliers and messing up the lid. For this 2nd canister, I followed the video instructions of pinching the rim and pulling, and I still couldn't open it as instructed and had to use tools. That's not safe. Please consider changing to a screw top. I will choose another brand that is easier to open until then. Additionally, once open, it's not secure. I really like your product, but if I cannot easily open it myself, it's of no use.

While I really love this product & have seen the benefits as I have been using it for years. It is beyond frustrating that it doesn't fully dissolve in cold drinks. I use it daily in my coffee with a frother to blend and am often always left with chunks of the product in cold beverages.

Hate the new cardboard packaging. Have been using this collagen for several years and love it, and I appreciate the company's efforts to use less plastic, but I've been fighting with this new paper container for 15 minutes now and can't even get it open. "Pinch rim and pull up." Right. More like hack at it with a pair of kitchen shears. Which I did. Which mangled the lid and rendered it useless. So unless you have strong, arthritis-free hands, good luck. Good thing I still have the plastic screw-top jar from the previous collagen order to refill.
