Great standard TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this TV in my living room and it has been a dependable TV thus far. The picture quality is good and it has all the apps. I did have an issue with an error message stating that it wasn't connecting to the internet, even though it was connected.

Crystal Samsung

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love our TV, it is our first Samsung and we are extremely glad we went with it instead of a cheaper brand. Perfect for streaming, gaming and even just watching tv. The setup and install were easy. Will definitely purchase Samsung again when we are in the market. WILL DEF RECOMMEND!

Good TV for a Good Price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This TV does the job and is a good price. Two things I don't like: I did notice that it doesn't do pure black colors as well (some light still shows up). Not a big deal to me though. I don't like the operating system as much as the Sony TV (which uses google TV) I also just purchased - the samsung one keeps a show playing while you try to navigate to another place. For some people, this is nice. But I didn't like it. But this is remedied if you don't like it by purchasing a new google chormecast with google tv (about 40 buck) and using that as your software. What I do like: I know I highlighted what I don't like, but for the price, it is a good tv so far. I think the brand will last longer and be better overall quality compared to other lower price companies. (I replaced a vizio which died after about 2 years...so I am hoping this one is better quality.)

Samsung 55" TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Streaming It's a nice TV, my 2 complaints are getting it to update, won't do it and it can be a little slow responding to the remote. Great picture, good size, we actually have 2 of the same model. 1 in the living room, 1 in the master bedroom.

Nothing but aggravation

The picture is great when it works but I've spent almost as much time resetting and rebooting this TV as I have watching it. I've had my cable box, YouTube and my iPhone screen mirroring all freeze. I've owned the TV for a week and I've had to reset it every single day so far, some days more than once. I've used the self-diagnose tool to check the HDMI cable - it says it's fine. I've quit using wifi and hard-wired my TV to my router. I've used the “device care” tool, it says there are no problems. I've done the SmartHub connection test, I've reset the SmartHub and I've unplugged the TV half a dozen times. It still keeps freezing! All I want is to be able to press a button and watch TV. I've actually sat down with a plate of dinner and finished my meal before the TV started working. This is the first Samsung product I've ever owned and they aren't making a very good first impression. Seriously thinking about returning it to the store and seeing if I have any more luck with Sony or LG.

Great Tv. Annoying features.

this tv has an auto input detection setting that will not turn off.this will sometimes quit working.tested with ps5 and xbox series x.sometimes it just remained on the blank input screen looking for a detection.sometimes when you switch input a message pops up that the tv is auto changing to the best settings.well i dont want to change anything.this tv also has an auto hdr feature for sources utilizing it.as we all know hdr is not entirely new but with a cheaper tv you will not get what is produced by an expensive tv.let alone hdr still struggles to be utilized properly on expensive tvs.this hdr basically dims the tv's brightness making the screen darker.netflix is horrible for this on certain titles. positives, the smartapps are fast and smooth.as the title ,great tv,annoying features.

Aaron G: Samsung TV's have Anynet+ (also known as HDMI-CEC), a feature that allows connected external HDMI devices to inform your TV when they have turned on. By default, the TV will immediately switch to this source when this happens. To turn off this function of a device connected to the TV, turn off the Anynet+(HDMI-CEC) function of the device. Also, please make sure that your TV’s firmware is up to date. The automatic dimming may be due to the ECO Sensor or Motion Lighting features. ECO Sensor automatically adjusts the brightness level of the TV according to ambient light level, reducing power consumption. If the ECO Sensor has adjusted the screen’s brightness level, you can select Min. Backlight to manually adjust the minimum screen brightness. To change this setting, go to Settings > General > ECO Solution. You will see option of de-selecting the Ambient Light Detection and other power saving features. I hope this helps. Great picture for the price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love all the apps and free channels. Looks good on my wall. Picture is great for sports and movies. After about 3 months and an update the tv started to power on when I'm not home or sleeping. Not good when I'm trying to budget and keep my bills at a rate I can afford. Otherwise great t.v

Hi Julien, I'm sorry that your TU7000 TV will not turn on. Please know we are here to help and have a few troubleshooting tips for you to try. First, since you mentioned the red light flashing on and off, please try to power the TV on through the button below the Samsung logo. If it powers on, I recommend changing the batteries on the remote and possibly replacing the remote. Next, please try the following: 1) Unplug the TV from its power source for 30 seconds. Then try to power it on again. 2) Try a different outlet that you have confirmed works properly 3) Press the Menu button on your remote. If the Menu appears, then this confirms your TV is powered on. 4) Confirm that the TV is set to the same source as the external device. 5) Test the HDMI cable. Go to Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information > HDMI Cable Test > Start Test. If the test says the cable is bad, replace the cable. Service is not required. 6) Test different external devices. The final thing to rule out is the external device you're using. Try connecting a different device or using a different source port. If the TV can display a picture in any other setup, then you've ruled the TV out as the cause of the issue. Keep trying various setups until you identify the device or cable that is not working and troubleshoot or replace it. If you need more help, Samsung is here for you.
