Beautiful picture (in bright scenes)
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When you buy a buy a Samsung TV, you pretty much know you're gonna get a TV with a good picture. We've had this TV for 8 months and use it to watch movies and series. Usually using the built in apps like Netflix, Disney+, HBO and Amazon Prime. Sometimes we use a cable box (Spectrum). The picture is clear and bright with vibrant colors, in most scenes... The problem is in dark scenes. The dynamic backlight makes dark scenes way too dark to watch. You can't change the dynamic backlight. I dug around the picture settings, tried lots of things but nothing affected the backlight. You have to close the drapes, turn off the lights and fiddle with the picture settings to watch the scene. Then, you have to undo everything when a bright scene appears. It does this on all the major streaming services (Netflix, Disney+, HBO, Amazon Prime,...) using the built in streaming apps. It does this with big budget movies and series. I'm not sure but I suspect it has something to do with HDR (High Dynamic Range) content. I wish I could disable it. My older Samsung TV wasn't like this.
This product is an amazing game changer!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] we weren't sure with how samsung was going to be but I'm beyond satisfied with our tv. The picture is super clear, the sound is exceptional, its an all around great TV. Would definitely recommend this for anybody wanting a great and reliable tv.
Excellent sound and picture quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Samsung has done a wonderful job making it simple and painless to switch apps and even sources. I especially enjoy being able to use the Samsung remote to control my gaming console. The picture quality is excellent, colors are sharp and crispy. The tv sound is also great

Lily: Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 TV and for your review. Samsung offers hundreds of apps in our App Store that you can download, and we are continuously adding more premium content and new services to our Smart TV platform. Auto Power Off automatically turns off the TV to reduce unnecessary power consumption if the TV Controller and the remote control are not used for the set period of time. Great price
Have only had this TV a week.Picture is ok.Not as clear as my older smaller Samsung. Not sure if it is because I'm running the smaller one through a Roku setup,vs.the Smart TV wireless conection. My only problem thus far is the motion in the football games. It is definitely a problem. It acually bothers my eyes, with the slower motion response. Don't see it on my other TV's.This TV is down in my man cave.Any thoughts?
Hi Tjangel,Thanks for your purchase and feedback on the TU700D image quality. Please know we are here to help you and have a few recommendations to improve your experience. First, let's check to make sure that you are running the latest Firmware. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update. Next, compression of video content may cause picture distortions, especially in fast-moving pictures from sports programs and action movies. - If the signal reception is weak or poor, screen distortion may be visible, but it is not a malfunction.- Mobile phones used close to the TV (within 3.2 ft) may cause noise on analog and digital channels. It's also possible the issue may be due to not connecting correctly with an external device. Please check your connection with these steps:1. Disconnect and reconnect the power cables and HDMI cables on the back of your TV, then unplug the power cord and plug it back into the wall outlet.2. If the external device supports UHD video, use a dedicated HDMI cable (4K) for HDMI video playback.3. If a component cable is used, make sure that the colored connectors are connected to the matching connectors on the external device and the TV.4. If you are using a set-top box, check the cable connection. The cable you need to check depends on the type of set-top box.5. Make sure that your access point is connected to the Internet. If not, disconnecting and reconnecting its power cable may be required.6. If the problem persists, check the video output settings in the settings menu of the external device, and ensure that your TV supports the video output mode. Finally, there are a few Settings that you can adjust, which may improve your picture. Go to Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Mode and select the mode that best fits your usage. You can also go to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > to manually fine-tune your image. If you need more help, please know we are here for you. bam58: Thank you for purchasing the TU7000 TV and for your review. We appreciate your feedback regarding the sound and your experience with Sling. I am very sorry that you are experiencing Wi-Fi connection issues. You may want to go through these steps to check your network connection: 1) Check the distance between the TV and your modem or access point. The distance should not exceed 50 ft. (15.2 m). 2) Minimize interference by not using or turning off wireless devices. Also, verify that there are no obstacles between the TV and the modem or access point. (WiFi strength can be decreased by appliances, cordless phones, stone walls/fireplaces, etc.) 3) Perform a network test to check if there is a network problem. Press the Home button on your remote. Navigate to Settings >Support> Device Care> Self Diagnosis> Smart Hub Connection Test 4) Please be sure you have the latest firmware update which enhances network connectivity. For further assistance or service, please contact us via any of the following options: 1-800-SAMSUNG (available 8AM -12AM EST, 7 days a week) Or visit us on the Samsung website and click on the ‘Support’ link in the upper right corner of the homepage for: 1) Contact Us Options (LiveChat, Remote Support, Facebook, Twitter) 2) Product Support 3) Manuals and Downloads 4) Warranty Info 5) Product Registration: Registering your product gives you access to easy warranty support, convenient opt-in to special promos and offers, faster troubleshooting and service, and quick notification of system updates 6) Samsung Community: A great resource for getting help from Samsung moderators and customers and more 7) …and more product, repair, order, and care options - Samsung Solutions
This product is good with one issue.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this product is easy to use and navigate menu. My only issue is the picture quality for movies with dark scenes is hard to see even when trying to make setting changes to screen brightness. There is no adjustment that will help when watching dark or nighttime scenes.
Great tv for new place
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this TV is great for someone who occasionally watches TV and movies. Great size for an apartment. The picture is great though audio can leave you desiring something better. There are times when I think the tv processor is very slow and the remote responsiveness is poor. When moving between apps a single arrow push often moves double. But for the most part it's dependable and cost effective.
Great picture. Great price.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's crazy how quickly TV tech progresses! Big Samsung fan - this is the 3rd I've bought. Picture and sound are great. Note the number of HDMI ports - this one didn't have enough for all the gadgets, but found a workaround. Great TV for the cost.
not great for a 90 year old
picture quality is great but This TV is for my 90 year old mom. The remote control is too small and complicated for an older person. You can get to Netflicks but it is 2 buttons too many to get back to cable for her. Simple remote control options, big buttons, would be great for older people.
