Picture looks fine but lag is horrible

i got this tv because the price was "right" for me as someone who doesn't watch very much tv. but you get what you pay for. i was satisfied at first, but after a few weeks the lag became extremely frustrating. the tv has hardly any storage space (mine shows 1.16 gb of total space - couldn't believe how little space there was) and it's pre-installed with junk partner apps and ads that you can't remove. i imagine this slows down the tv considerably and contributes to much of the lag. if you accidentally hit one of the pre-installed app buttons on the remote it takes up to 10 seconds to load, then you have to go back to the home screen to go back to the app you just were in, wasting another 10 seconds. overall i am disappointed, the tv looks fine but the experience is very frustrating.

Save your money, breaks after a year

I bought this TV a year ago, and it is kept in a pristinely clean and safe area. Today, it developed a black line down the entire screen after the warranty just ended. I tried all the diagnostics and have several Samsung products. I'm extremely disappointed and hope the problem can be addressed by Samsung.

Hi chels9, Thank you for letting us know about the issue you are experiencing with your Samsung TU7000 TV. I have a few troubleshooting steps for you to try, which may resolve your problem. 1. If any external devices are connected, check all input cable connections 2. If the issue persists, define precisely what is wrong with the display. For example, mosaics and blocks, multiple lines or white dots, and fixed horizontal or vertical lines. 3. Try changing channels using the remote control. Is the issue the same on all channels? 4. Press the Home button (looks like a house), select Source, and choose another input source. Is the issue the same on all sources? 5. If the same problem persists, run a diagnostic test. (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test) 6. If the problem disappears during the test, check your TV signal (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information) to check the signal strength. The signal strength must be more than 20 dB (more than 4 bars on the icon) for stable signal reception Should your issue persist, please contact Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. 65" Smart TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have really enjoyed this TV with all of it's features and apps. I gave the TV four star because I had some issues downloading apps that the TV had already preprogrammed in it. I had to call to get this fixed which with a new TV I feel this shouldn't have been the case. Next, I don't like that you can't delete apps that you won't be use to free up space. Then the TV freezes up at times, and takes long to come on. Fix these minor issues and I'll come back to change my review to five stars.

Great TV (model TU8000)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was using the TV with my Xbox and cable box (hooked up to the Xbox), for a couple of years. But the Xbox recently died and I had to start using the TV with its apps and the cable box directly hooked up to the TV. The picture is so much better! I didn't realize the Xbox was downgrading the picture so much. I just wish there were more updates to the TV. I'm sure they just want me to buy a new model instead of downloading updates...

Amazing TV with high quality details

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this TV for my living room and I gotta say it has been wonderful. I use it to watch my favorite shows and movies and being able to see them in such high definition makes it just much better. Not to mention, this TV really improves on darker scenes that show up still enhancing the quality of the show. Now let's talk about the gaming aspect that it features, see we have a next gen console which truly thrives with a TV such as this one. Having it instantly switch to gaming mode when the console turns on and also being able to play games with a high fps and still maintaining its 4k details, truly makes the games feel more immersive. When I say this TV is great, I mean it.

TV Review - Power off problem

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used for Movies, Streaming, Gaming, and sports. TV does not shut down properly and always comes back on after 5 minutes. This is a problem when leaving the house as i return to a tv that is powered on.

Please try the below troubleshooting tips: 1. Unplug the TV from the wall outlet or surge protector and leave it unplugged for 30 seconds. 2. Check the power cord to see if there is any visible damage. 3. Plug the TV power cord back into the wall outlet. If you were using a surge protector, bypass it for now and use a wall outlet. 4. Try to update the software. In some cases, a software update can correct the problem. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software. 5. Disable the Power On with the Mobile option. TVs that can connect to SmartThings can be turned on using compatible devices, sometimes automatically. However, if abnormal "power on" signals are sent through the wireless network, they will trigger this function and make the TV turn on. If you do not want this function, navigate to Settings > General > Network > Expert Settings. If you are using the device through HDMI, it could cause the auto-on, as Anynet+ is enabled. Occasionally connected devices such as game consoles (PS5, Xbox) or cable set-top boxes send a turn-on signal, for example, if they have software updates. We recommend you try turning Anynet+ off as it may be causing auto power on. Go to Settings > General > External Device Manager > Anynet+, then disable. Great value, ez set up, weak ergo remote

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Small detail #1 I didn't know that not many (Smart )TVs still retain input selection once you shut off and put back on. Many default to their menu promoting some smart feature or service, where u always have to select a port (ie hdmi1, HDMI 2 etc) It doesn't sound like much but it gets annoying when you have to select (every time you turn it on) which port to display. Luckily this Samsung is the least offensive by remembering its last input. (Samsung tv and apps do momentarily fill bottom half). Small detail #2 big fan of the way it shuts down when u shut it off. The screen lights up and colapses to an equator like line then disappears in a surprisingly pleasant way as if bowing thank to you. Lol such a small yet very appreciated detail. Seriously. Try one. Set up not too difficult it did take a combination of downloading app and manual input. Adjustments are easy. Sound is good. Ive found only 2 issues... one is the remote. This model is a bit congested. I was told by the sales associate that the model above it had a better remote (as well as a higher price) And for me that would've put me in a different range that wasn't worth it. Second is that it mysteriously went completely black screen on me twice now. Like someone pulled the plug on it. But touching remote (like volume) brought picture right up. Hope this helps

Really solid tv

I like the way its easy to use and like how Im able to do things like sync up my playstation to the tv so that when I turn on my playstation, my tv also turns on and thats just a cool little future.

An experience to behold

we waited for weeks for delivery in anticipation but once we turned on this tv, we have not been disappointed. we simply love this television, it has surpassed our expectations on multiple levels. the picture is super sharp the setup function is easy to follow the value is sooo affordable this tv is sleek and beautiful to watch we are thrilled and look forward to many years of movie nights with family and friends.

Display

it worked fine the first day i had it and wouldn't come on at all after that. samsung had someone come and fix it. i still have some issues. had to do a factory reset 3 times already because the colors get really bad. i like iot a lot when it doesn't mess up
