Samsung 42" Crystal UHD 4K Smart TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had the Samsung 42" Crystal UHD 4K Smart TV for a just little over a week now, so I'm sure we haven't been able to try out all the available functions but what we have tried has been amazing. The picture is crystal clear ultra high definition, almost as if you are in the film itself. We went from a 50 inch to a 43 inch and don't regret it for a minute because it's such a better experience. It has built in Hulu, Netflix and Apple TV. There's alot of built in free channels that were not available on our last smart TV, an awesome feature and will definitely come in handy if something happens to our satellite feed. It was very lightweight and I was able to set it up myself without struggling. I would definitely recommend this TV to anyone who is a fan of gaming, sports or TV watching in general.

Great Picture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Samsung TV has a great picture and sound. Works great for streaming. The only downside is that there are only 2 HDMI ports. I had to purchase an A/B switch since cable took one HDMI port and the sound system took the other. Needed some place for blu-ray player and Fire stick.

Backlight went out after six months

if you want your tv to act more like a radio, this is the tv for you. after 6-7 months the backlight has gone out so i can't see anything although at least the sound still works! still waiting on being serviced under the warranty but it has been about a week and counting with no tv.

This product has great features.

I check my email and social media accounts on my TV, it's more than I could ever ask for. My grandchildren thinks it's the bomb! For gaming.

Nice TV

its a good tv, very pleased. i would like to see that the stands it comes with be telescopic a bit, that would raise the tv up more than just the standard it came with. you might want to consider that, in giving your customers a added benefit to adjust their tv viewing height. i don't need to hang it on the wall as some people do having to look up at it while sitting down. i feel the tv should be at eye level while sitting. mine is but it would be nice to have it just a little bit higher. a telescopic stand would be perfect.

Great tv

Has lots of extra channels and is very light to move around! Would recommend to anyone looking for a new tv.

Shame on you Samsung

i purchased a 65" ru71000 4k uhd tv and washer around 3 years ago together. shortly after 1 year, both quit working. my tv went to a black screen with occasional flash of light. highly disappointed in you samsung. who has the money for your products that just lead to more money within such a short span of time?

Hi jenndcook06, We are very sorry to hear about your experience with the TU7000 TV. Please know we are here to help you. If your TV has a black screen even when it's on, it's quite possible it could actually be your external device and not your TV. Please try these troubleshooting steps for your blank screen issue: 1. Press the Home button on the remote. If the menu appears, the TV is powered on but is either not on the correct source or not receiving a signal. If the menu does not appear, the TV may be having power issues. Check the red standby light, a little red light at the edge of the TV that you aim the remote at. In normal use, the red standby light is on when the TV is off (indicating the TV is on standby), and the red standby light is off when the TV is in use (or doesn't have power). 2. Confirm the TV is set to the same source as the external device. For instance, if your cable box is connected to HDMI 1, set the TV source to HDMI 1. If the TV is set to the correct source, but there is still no image, unplug and reconnect the AV connections one cable at a time from both ends of each cable. If there's any damage to the cable, it will need to be replaced. After you've reconnected the external device, turn it off and then back on. 3. Test the HDMI cable. Some TVs have an HDMI cable test. Some models only have this test after a software update, and older models do not have it. If your model does not have this test, or is not connected by HDMI, skip to the next step. The test is designed for HDMI cords less than 6 feet long and may not give accurate results on long cords. To perform the test, make sure the TV's source is still on the HDMI setting for the cable you want to test, and then navigate to Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information > HDMI Cable Test > Start Test. If the test says, the cable is bad, replace the cable. Service is not required. 4. Test different external devices. The final thing to rule out is the external device you're using. Try connecting to a different device or using a different source port. If you were unable to test the cable in the previous step, then try swapping the cable, too. If the TV can display a picture in any other setup, then you've ruled the TV out as the cause of the issue. Keep trying various setups until you identify the device or cable that is not working and troubleshoot or replace it. If your issue persists, please give us a call so we can troubleshoot with you. Great picture and seamless setup

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've noticed myself buying more and more Samsung products since my first purchase of a Samsung smartphone several years back. This Samsung Smart TV is one of my most recent purchases. It is the first Smart TV I have personally bought so I was a little anxious during the un-boxing and setup. But the anxiouty quickly faded to excitement as the setup process was seamless. The TV walked my through the wifi connection and signed me in to my existing Samsung account which opened up all sorts of opportunities with the TV (i.e., I can mirror my phone to this TV so easily I was shocked!) I wondered if a Smart TV was for me but after a month with this one ill never go without one. All my Samsung devices are connected and I can share between them. I highly recommend this, or any Samsung Smart TV.

A great low-cost TV, especially for gamers

I absolutely love this tv.

I have the one downstairs hooked up to my Samsung sound bar system and my Xbox series x. It makes my gaming experience out of this world. I love this tv and would definitely recommend it.
