I can see and hear any noise without leaving my bed is the best at peace feeling!

The feeling of safe when we had these Arlo installed in our backyard by our bedroom glass door and at the side door by the garage! Just knowing it'll alert me when it detects movements as well as hearing any noise gives me a safe feeling when I'm home alone.

Arlo: BE READY TO OPEN YOUR WALLET

Beware they do not allow local storage so I would not recommend buying these unless you want to get roped in to a monthly cloud and services subscription. Without the latter you're basically buying 3 feature rich cameras that do not allow you to see any motion or audio triggered videos unless you have a subscription. I bought these thinking they would allow local storage and be compatible with my existing base but they don't support it or any type of local storage. I basically bought 3 video cameras that do nothing more than show real time video and peridiodically tell you to subscribe to their cloud service. Fortunately the new app did support my old cameras so my surveillance wasn't completely down. Also they totally redid the app and setting up times schedules went from very simple and straight forward to some complicated convoluted mess of terms and dependencies that makes no sense. I am a tech guy as well so its not like I haven't fumbled my way around a lifetime of abstract problems and concepts!

Professional Camera for you house

The Arlo Pro 5S 2K Spotlight Camera is a great security camera for home use. The video quality is very clear, even at night, and the spotlight helps a lot to see better in dark areas. Installation was easy since it's wireless, and the battery lasts a good amount of time before needing a charge. The app is simple to use and sends quick alerts when there's movement. Sometimes the connection can be a bit slow, but overall it works really well and gives me peace of mind. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for reliable home security.

It's A Trap! Do Not Buy!

These cameras are utterly useless without a paid plan. In older models it would at least store a day worth of feeds, and I could record video on the spot if needed. With these cameras, no feeds are available, and I cannot record anything if needed without a subscription. Don’t fall into the trap of paying many times more for these cameras because you have to pay for a plan that’s roughly $20 a month. That’s $240 a year.

Not very good cameras or support

Bought these & I am dissatisfied with quality of feeds, faces are blurred, installation difficult. Support isn't great. The cams always take false hits because of wind, leaves in the grass etc & sometimes fail to take photos of people & cars which is most important. . I also bought other models directly from Arlo Essential cams - just as bad. Support is horrible. Was told 3 minute wait - still waiting days. Happens a lot. Cannot understand the techs. For what it's worth, I also have 10 year old N*** cams (4) and 4 Logi*** cams. I can't speak to their support because I've never needed it !!

Highly recommend

The setup was incredibly straightforward, and the app is very intuitive to navigate. The 2K video coverage is crystal clear, and the responsiveness of the motion alerts gives me great peace of mind.

Pass - Problematic

Nonstop issues and problems. The app is clunky and slow. The cameras always go offline no matter what you do. Customer Support aks you the same series of questions 4-5x and then offers no real solution.

be aware of monthly fees

image quality is okay but wouldn't of bought if i knew i had to pay a monthly fee to be able to continuously see past recordings and not just live feed
