The cameras are great! I've got a lot to learn about the monitoring plans offered by Arlo. For installation, I used siding hooks so I wouldn't have to put any holes in the siding while I figure out where these go. I did get have one little issue, and now that I know what happened, it won't be an issue going forward. The issue -- they stopped notifying me! I checked into it and apparently, sometimes after app updates some setting are adjusted which can change your notifications. They're back now and I'm happy!

I use these to upgrade my system from my ARLO Pro cameras and get away from the HUB that they had to work through. The 130 degree view is a big plus, increasing the coverage. Easy to install.

Arlo is one of the best field cameras. Great night mode and motion capture. Immediate notifications. I wish it would work with Apple HomeKit without a hub.

great cameras. I've had arlos since 2017. i was sold when 1 went through a tornado and i found it, 1/2 mile from my house, still on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hired a security consultant to install this. I had purchased this set of cameras for him to install. I got the wrong Set, he tried to install it though. This had missing parts, and was not compatible with my other camera system. Failed project, it took a long time to realize this. I suppose if you are a do it yourself, kind of person, and do not have other cameras system to deal with, then this would be OK

The cameras are hard to get set up on WiFi and you have to pay for the service The old camera WiFi was free to use on WiFi. It really needs a base to connect to. Need to think twice

The motion detection doesn’t work very well I have old models which are pro 2s and they go off constantly but the new pro 5s wouldn’t detect anything even if it was right on top of something I am not sure what’s up with these but they sure haven’t gotten any better with new models

These cameras are sold as outdoor rated. I have one of them that is exposed to the elements. After only a few weeks some heavy rains penetrated the housing and had water inside the camera! Arlo support called it an “Act of God” so they refused to deal with it. Wonder how can a system be outdoor rated if it can not withstand rain!? After few months the camera lens started fogging on the inside now. Arlo support is totally worthless again and in denial. Copy/paste non solutions from them. If you are looking for a system that is installed outside and exposed to the elements stay away from Arlo!!!

These cameras are utterly useless without a paid plan. In older models it would at least store a day worth of feeds, and I could record video on the spot if needed. With these cameras, no feeds are available, and I cannot record anything if needed without a subscription. Don’t fall into the trap of paying many times more for these cameras because you have to pay for a plan that’s roughly $20 a month. That’s $240 a year.

Bought these & I am dissatisfied with quality of feeds, faces are blurred, installation difficult. Support isn't great. The cams always take false hits because of wind, leaves in the grass etc & sometimes fail to take photos of people & cars which is most important. . I also bought other models directly from Arlo Essential cams - just as bad. Support is horrible. Was told 3 minute wait - still waiting days. Happens a lot. Cannot understand the techs. For what it's worth, I also have 10 year old N*** cams (4) and 4 Logi*** cams. I can't speak to their support because I've never needed it !!
