Great Watch

I’ve had this now for a couple of weeks. I love all of the features, the only thing keeping me from giving a higher rating is the battery is only good for about 4 days when in the description it said up to 11 days which is one of the reasons I got it.

Used throughout the Day

My third Vivoactive watch. I depend on it to track my sleep quality and activity as well as alerting me to text messages and calls on my iphone. I would have rated it excellent, but I am a bit disappointed in the support for the watch. I can't seem to find out how to change the weather reading from Celsius to Farenheit.

Thanks for your review! You can change the unit of measure for temperature on your vivoactive 5 by following these steps: 1. Swipe up or down to view the weather glance. 2. Select the glance to view the current weather for your location. 3. Hold the bottom-right button. 4. Select Weather Options. 5. To change the unit of measure for temperature, select Temperature. very inaccurate

I counted out 1,000 stepsas i walked. The vivoactive logged 804 of them, my fitbit sense 2 logged 1000. I repeated this test 5 times, and the average count for the Fitbit was 99% accurate. The Vivoactive averaged 82% accuracy Pulse rate wa a little better, vs manual count. The fitbit was 100%, Vivoactive 93% I could go on, there were other tests, but suffice it to say i kept the Sense and returned the Vivoactive

Great watch for the Heartless

I've had the watch for a few weeks now and mostly love it. I've upgraded from the vivoactive3 which I loved, but started acting up on me. My biggest and only issue with it so far is that it tracks my heartbeat less than half the time. I was excited to try the new sleep functions but it's useless if it doesn't track your HR. i've tried different bands, tightening the band, loosening the band, shaving the hair on my wrist. Nothing seems to keep it consistent. Body battery and sleep tracking are useless. I've considered going back to my VA3 site to the frustrations.

Vivoactive Upgrade

I upgraded from a Vivoactive 3 to the Vivoactive 5. So far i am pleased with the additional features with the exception of capturing sleep data, some nights it works but most nights it does not. I have tried numerous suggestions without success. aside from this all else functions without error.

Garmin takes the lead--great watch, battery life

My first smart watch was a Garmin 10 years ago and then I went to the competitor that I thought had more advanced features. Not so any more! I'm very happy with this Garmin Vivoactive 5--the steps, sleep score, heart beat, and all the other data that syncs with my phone via Garmin connect really beats the competition. While the other big names were resting on their perceived reputation, Garmin was out researching and out developing the competitors.. Eleven day battery support--and to think, one of Garmin's competitors is bragging about 22 hours. I've had this watch for a couple of weeks and still learning additional features but I highly recommend it..

The fit and size are great!

I have had this about 2 weeks. Still getting used to some of the features. It's very responsive and minimum time for the GPS to work. Right now, I am not completely sold on the running or walking features using the GPS. It does verbalize my time at each mile split; however, I cannot locate that information once my run or walk are complete! According to the help area I should be able to locate that information. I haven't been able to do that! That is frustrating. I like that I know my overall time and average pace. I want to be able to find each mile and the calories burned as I did on my old 220 Forerunner. Supposedly I can find it on my home screen...I haven't been able to do that. I really don't want to have to return this watch, I like most of the features and the cost of this model. I do need some of the basic information that I am used to finding.

The VivoActive 5 put other Tracker Shame!

I bought this watch/tracker to replace my Charge 5, as it kept failing and I got tired replacing it $$$. Wow, I am glad I made the change, as Vivoactive has so many more features and a lot of data, to help me manage my sleep and fitness. I have had it for about 3 weeks, we will have to see how well it lasts. No complaints at this point.

Seems to be missing Vívoactive 3 features

I have used for about a month. The battery last a lot longer on GPS mode, 3-18 holes of golf. However there is no longer a Garmin connect activity that shows the map and miles walked during golf. Also annoying is the screen stays black and you have to shake your wrist to wake it up to see the time of day. I'm not sure the sleep metrics are very accurate.

Weak Bluetooth feature

Sadly had to return this watch because the Bluetooth was weak. I walked barely a foot away from my phone and the watch would instantly disconnect. I trouble shooted multiple times and made sure watch and phone were updated. The training feature with a coach never loaded, again trouble shooted multiple times. This was super disappointing because this was the feature I was most excited about.
