Upgraded from my Fitbit Luxe (which I adored - I wanted something with text/call features as well) to the Garmin Vivoactive5. It is a really nice watch, very comfortable, and perfect for what I need, which is holding myself accountable for being more active. As someone who hates bulky watches or other accessories on my wrist, this watch is definitely a great choice for me.

I've owned both a Fitbit and an Apple Watch, and I honestly prefer my Garmin Vivoactive over both! It tracks so much more of my activity, workouts, steps, sleep, heart rate, and overall health metrics. I especially love how much information it gives me without feeling overwhelming. The battery life is also a huge plus compared to my Apple Watch. I've been really impressed with how accurate and useful the tracking is, and I feel like I'm getting much more out of my watch. Definitely one of my favorite fitness watches I've owned!

Great fitness watch!

Absolutely love this watch! I used to be a diehard Apple Watch person but decided to give this a go as I didn't really want all my phone notifications on my watch anymore(you can still view them on Garmin, I just hid mine). The fitness tracking seems to be pretty close to accurate including heart rate. I took my blood pressure at home which includes heart rate and they were always within a few numbers of each other. I also really like the body battery it has and how it combines with the sleep tracking and the insights it'll provide on what could be impacting you. Battery life is also great and charges super fast!

I wanted an easy to use smart watch that wasn't intrusive. This watch fits the bill. I only activated the functions that were important to me. The watch band is stylish and made of silicone which is sturdy. I'm not sure the steps are counted accurately. I think it over counts them. I like knowing what my heart rate is while exercising and resting. I would recommend this Watch.

Good Watch, costly but worth it

I really like my Garmin watch it has a battery that lasts over a week which I just love. it tracks everything I need such as steps, heart rate, pulse ox (many watches do NOT do oxygen saturations - this does), sleep logging, it synchs seamlessly with my phone and I can get the weather on it and know who's calling. it has features I don't use like music and I'm sure there's more. This not a commercial for the watch, honest. I've owned a few different brands. I just prefer this one. it's a little on the high end money-wise since it isn't a phone too like Apple but I already have a phone and I like it just fine.

Not perfect

Ive had this watch 5 months now and I can tell you with confidence it is not accurate unless you are using the gps. I workout Monday through Friday 4 to 5 miles mostly in a treadmill and it doesn't accurately track even after calibrating. Doesn't accurately track other workouts either. The step counter also not accurate as I some how made 1235 steps while driving… I've gone back to Apple now. The only good parts is it tracks right if you use the gps and the battery life is great.

It’s alright I guess

I switched from apple to this watch. I hit all my goals (most days) with my Apple Watch, this watch basically called me lazy and I haven’t hit a goal once since putting it on a week ago. Sooo idk which watch is true but it’s kinda annoying either way. I did do an exercise with this watch and it does not correctly count the reps and there’s zero direction on how to use the watch to move though the workout, but don’t worry, I pushed all the buttons until I figured it out. Getting my music to work has been a hassle as well. Haven’t used it for walking outside yet though, too cold. But the battery life is super good, wore it for 6 days straight. The charger cord is really short too and I hate spending so much money on these things and then they don’t even give you the butt for the charger. Had to search my whole house for a c port charger 🙄

I've owned the watch for not even 3 months and I've had so many issues with the heart rate monitor. Multiple times the watch has had an update and wouldn't turn back on for at least a day. I've read such good things about this watch and maybe I got a fluke but very disappointed in the quality from a technology standpoint.

Possibly defective but not very good

My experience with this smart watch was not very good. I found it difficult to swipe up and down and left and right sometimes and rather frequently it would not recognize my swipe. That was very frustrating. Then the force required to squeeze the individual buttons and there are two of them so that it recognizes the action is too much in my opinion. So I cannot not recommend this watch. Also, I had a great deal of difficulty with the sleep. Analysis function. It would frequently think I was asleep when I was not and then and that's both before going to bed and after getting up. That was very disappointing because I had had a previous VIVO active three where it was actually pretty good with sleep. Also wasn't confident about the heart rate how much starting to feel the weight of this building that you are bringin my experience with this smart watch was not very good. Battery life awful.

After 2 weeks watch band broke, after 3 weeks battery went from 100% to 0 in 12 hours. Garmin is really hard to get through to and then they are not helpful.
