This is the best way to stay fitness. Im very happy with the amount of stuff you can track, all the sports and activities you can find and also, as a woman, I can track my cycle and fertility.

For the price tag, its a simple smart watch that has all the benefits of a garmin watch. I used to have a more expensive garmin watch, and this one does pretty much everything that the old one did.

Could be great but so so now.

I bought this to replace my Venu Sq 2 that would not charge. Of course as soon as I received the Vivoactive 5 the other one suddenly charged. However I have downloaded the golf app and courses and it has never worked. Once it stated it needed to connect to WiFi on the first tee. My friends were interested until they saw the problem with the Golf portion of the device.

Charging connector port fail.

This is my second vivoactive 5 in 4 months. Due to the fact that the charging port on the watch struggles to stay connected to the cord it’s been the most frustrating purchase I’ve had with Garmin. I’ve come to trust the reliability of the product overall. But this model is terrible when it comes to the connector for charging.

Be wary if a new watch comes into range. Jealousy?

There is nothing new about my Vivoactive 5smartwatch. Except that when my husband got a more advanced smartwatch, mine chose to not track sleep, then to not be connected to the Garmin app on my phone at all and stop counting steps as well. "Connecting" my husband's new watch seemed - over time - to disconnect mine! He turned his watch off and reconnected mine and it seems to be responding again.

This item is very thorough at collecting overall statistics about a persons health. It is a hreat little tracker if you dont need all the bells and whistles. If you are apprehensive about having all your health stats in the hands of Google like the fitbit and Google tracker, this is the one for you.

Upgraded from my Fitbit Luxe (which I adored - I wanted something with text/call features as well) to the Garmin Vivoactive5. It is a really nice watch, very comfortable, and perfect for what I need, which is holding myself accountable for being more active. As someone who hates bulky watches or other accessories on my wrist, this watch is definitely a great choice for me.

Perfect option for the non-pro tri-athlete :)

I upgraded from the 2 and what a difference! It took a minute to relearn some of the differences (and I’m still learning), but just the amount of battery life is incredible! I was charging my old watch every 2-3 days. The only downside I’ve noticed is the lack of compatibility with my Wahoo trainer; but I’ve started hitting the Cardio option so I get my heart rate etc tracked, them update my mileage into the Garmin app after. Other than that, it’s a perfect fit for the tri-athlete who doesn’t need all the bells and whistles but needs the important reliable data. 9 out of 10 stars ⭐️

Ok

It was a gift in March and not terrifically pleased. Needs to be recharged about every 2 to 3 days. I previously had a Vivoactive 4, which lasted o ly2 yearsvand would not charge at all. Viviactive 5 does not and an altimeter, which was a feature I really liked on my 4 especially when hiking. The 5 was a gift, so not much recourse to return, once I discovered the lack of feature I liked. I'll only give it 3 stars.

Disappointed in vivoactive 5

I have been using Garmin watches for years for general gym use and active jobs. I really like the app and pack of a monthly subscription. Unfortunately something is wrong with the garmin vivoactive 5 line. I have gone through 1 brand new one where the bezel separated from the base and screen popped out. I purchased a recertified one and the screen has gone completely black in just 5 months. My vivoactive 4 lasted over 2 years. That's why I went to the 5. But now I feel dumb. The watch screens are not lasting.
