The watch is comfortable to wear. It has enough free faces to pick from that I can read with out my glasses. After a full change over seven days ago I still have 47 percent battery left. The colors are bright and clear. It is responsive to touch and when you turn your wrist to veiw. The band is easy to put on and the extra flap stays down. It seems to count steps and sleep pretty accurately. It can do way more than I will use. I like the watch better than both my fitbits. The app is okay maybe I haven't figured out all it can do yet because I USED to like the fitbit app better until Google took it over. Definitely a great watch for people who want to use the basics plus. I can't say if it's great for you serious health nuts or not.

Wanted something that could help track my activities (and calorie expenditure for weight loss) and it works great! I love seeing the stats after pilates and yoga. The sleep score and stress monitors have also been really interesting, and I appreciate that it tracks my cycle as well (one less thing to keep track of elsewhere). Pleasantly surprised at the battery life as well, and love that it was available in a neutral color that I can wear everyday.

I bought the Vivoactive 5 about a month ago because my Vivoactive 3 died. The reason I purchased this model was for the stair counter. I spent many hours looking for the activity on the watch and googled it several times. Finally found on a Garmin owner forum that it is no longer on the watch and Garmin did not remove it from the list on the website. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. Other than the stair counter, I really like the new watch.

I am coming from a fitbit - I like this it has more on watch features but I do wish it had a microphone so I could ask alexa to do things around the house and respond to texts. I love how the watch looks and feels I did get a new band for it though. Overall it takes some getting used to after using fitbit but I like it!

Fantastic watch with all the features just perfect for my needs. It interfaces smoothly with my Google Pixel phone, has an awesome battery life, keeps me motivated to reach my daily health goals, it's comfortable to wear, and I feel safer with it on. Zero regrets!

My old Vivoactive HR broke down and it was time to upgrade. I bought the Vivoactive 5 even though there is a newer version since it was less expensive. The Vivoactive 5 connects to my phone immediately where the HR model took a while to connect after a run or workout. The display is bright and colorful and there are many options for the watch face. The only change I would like to make it to have the time of day on the workout option. Maybe there is a way to add this but I haven't figured it out yet. This model does so much that I can't imagine the Vivoactive 6 having even more features. I'm sure it does but the 5 has plenty of features for me.

I’ve been a Fitbit devotee since they came out, but all the changes had made me want to find something else. I’m glad I did! I love my Garmin Vivoactove5. The features and app are great! I love the ease of use. The alarm, tracking and workout options are fantastic

The battery is going down at a rate that suggests it won’t last 2 days let alone 11. Also it didn’t come with a charger. Nothing in the box even though it states there should be one. Waiting to hear from customer service. I will update if it’s a positive experience.

I’ve had my Garmin for around a month. I can say that I like a lot of the features they include like the hydration tracking the sleeping tracking. The sleeping coach is also very, very useful. The strength training I love being able to track my sets how much time I take resting how much time take working now it gives me rest time that I should take and when my bmp stabilizes. Overall very good watch, sleek look and super lightweight.

I've owned a Garmin Vivoactive 3 and a Vivoactive 4s. The Vivoactive 5 has great features that the others didn't-- including a lot more activities like open water swimming. I got this watch because the Garmin 4s had a problem that couldn't be addressed. I bought and received a Gamin Vivoactive 5 "recertified" watch. The watch itself is great but it came with nothing. No power cord, no instructions, no booklet. I would have really appreciated getting those things. I will have to do research to find out exactly how to use all the great functions. I'm still a Garmin loyal customer!
