The size is perfect for my needs. My expectations of this safe is to protect my valuable items and documents from fire. As far as security, I am not counting on it to be "burglar proof" but the extra time it would take to force it open, or use the "tricks" for opening it as seen on "YouTube", would provide the alarm company a "head start" on sending the police.

The handle on this safe is plastic. I’m pretty sure it is stripped - since I cannot open the door. Consequently, the contents are secure - from everyone including me. Wasted my money - since I will probably have to have it drilled to get inside NOT HAPPY!!

Arrived dented. I figured it would be too much trouble returning so I kept it. The company needs to package them better. Knowing they probably will not be handled very well. The locking drawer they offer is a joke. It only latches on one side. Even a child would be able to pry it open and get the contents out.

Good size wish was heavier and wish could bolt to the floor without drilling seems easy to wheel away the safe It seems humid to store expensive hockey cards will have to put them In zip baggies I guess plenty of room should have added an accessories booklet

I Absolutely Love this Safe for Many Reasons. The Obvious Three being the fact that it is Fire, Water & Burglar, Proof. Beside those three, two of the Main Reasons I bought this style Safe is that it has a file drawer, like in a file cabinet, so I can keep my files Safe (in case of a fire) and Orderly at the same time, and a shelf to lay important papers on. The last two reasons is because it has a Digital and Key Lock which makes it easier to remember the combination and it has a light on the inside of the door.

This safe seems solid and is a great size for me. I am hopeful that the digital keypad lock and plastic parts are sturdy enough and will provide long use. A 1 year warranty on something this important is worrisome, but I am hoping it will do the job.

So far I love the safe over all. It's a sound safe with some nice accessories. I didn't care for the shelves and inner design at first but it grew on me. I like the shelves a lot since they are raised on the sides. Perfect for holding documents or weapons with in with out having to worry too much about them falling off. Their is a safe like shelf as well which I like a lot since it prevents guns and contents from falling out and banging about in case the safe falls from a flood or accidental drop. I don't like the handle on it. When pulling it back up to lock the safe it would be great to hear a small click or something. If it's not all the way back up, which is easy, then it won't open when you try to reopen it. Don't care for that but with very little practice you get use to it. Second thing I would like is a vault handle instead of the strait handle. Other than that I highly reccomend this safe.

Too stiff and hard to open and close. Wife not strong enough and it takes me several tries to get the last 1/4" to engage so that the key works. Not until we opened the box and read the instructions was there any mention about the brute force required to open and close against the seals.

So a lot of reviewers complain about the moisture, the poor locking mechanism etc... I think the safe is an excellent value.. it allows us to keep some valuables and necessary papers etc in a safe environment.. the safe is weighty enough that someone would have a difficult time walking off with it.. We actually have this in the corner of my home office with a lamp on it... an end table use!.. we just need more room then a strongbox but not as large as a refrigerator! Love the fact that there is a drawer, it’s lighted , and compartments for passports etc.. don’t forget to use desiccant... all safes need it!

According to the manual, the 5-number factory unlock code will always unlock the safe, even if user codes are entered to supplement it. Therefore, if the factory unlock code is compromised in any way (like with loss or photocopy of the user manual), then security of the safe becomes entirely dependent on access to the physical unlock keys. Better that the user should have the option to retain or replace the factory unlock key when creating a user-defined key.
