Excellent Workmanship

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have everything I need with this TV. The features are simple and straight forward. Easy to use for the average tech knowledgeable user. This TV is basically a one stop shop whereas you don't really need to connect any external device other than a gaming system and possibly a cable box. The Game Mode feature is super awesome when it comes to playing my XBOX One X. I think I'll be going with Samsung for TV's from this point forward. Thank You Samsung!

Great Product

Many Perks!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our TV was old. It was time to do an upgrade as we felt we were living in the dark ages settling with what we had for 14 years. We decided on a 50" Crystal UHD and we are not disappointed. The picture is amazing, the added smart TV functions and apps included are a bonus! There are many, many free channels ready to go. We are able to directly access many subscriptions directly to the TV. No added devices, no messy cords. The price...amazing. The sound is pretty awesome as well. You will not be disappointed if you are looking for an upgrade that fits the bill of everything you need.

Great TV, Bad Sound

we lovevthe tv. great picture and samsung tv is very convenient. the only reason i fidnt give 5 stars is because the sound is terrible. no depth and sound tinny. i bought a bose soundbar to have good sound. my previous samsung lcd had a great doubdbar built into it.

Poor quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After less than two years of use, the upper right corner of the tv screen is noticeably dimmer than the rest of the tv. It seems as if a section of lighting has stopped working. Disappointed in the quality.

Hi Michael, It's disappointing to hear that your TU7000 TV screen is having image issues. I recommend trying the following troubleshooting steps to ensure the problem is not with an external device. 1. Check all input cable connections if any external devices are connected. 2. If the issue persists, define precisely what is wrong with the display. For example, mosaics and blocks, multiple lines or white dots, or fixed, horizontal, or vertical lines. 3. Try changing channels using the remote control. Is the issue the same on all channels? 4. Press the Home button (looks like a house), select Source, and choose another input source. Is the issue the same on all sources? 5. If the same problem persists, run a diagnostic test. (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test) 6. If the problem disappears during the test, check your TV signal (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information) to check the signal strength. The signal strength must be more than 20 dB (more than 4 bars on the icon) for stable signal reception Should your issue persist, don't hesitate to get in touch with Samsung Customer Support. Great picture.

I was able to adjust the settings in no time to get a fantastic picture for both movies and gaming. I have had other sets that made it very difficult to move past the "soap opera" effect. Not the case here. Very satisfied and the size is perfect for my tiny-house.

Solid buy

Beautiful picture (in bright scenes)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When you buy a buy a Samsung TV, you pretty much know you're gonna get a TV with a good picture. We've had this TV for 8 months and use it to watch movies and series. Usually using the built in apps like Netflix, Disney+, HBO and Amazon Prime. Sometimes we use a cable box (Spectrum). The picture is clear and bright with vibrant colors, in most scenes... The problem is in dark scenes. The dynamic backlight makes dark scenes way too dark to watch. You can't change the dynamic backlight. I dug around the picture settings, tried lots of things but nothing affected the backlight. You have to close the drapes, turn off the lights and fiddle with the picture settings to watch the scene. Then, you have to undo everything when a bright scene appears. It does this on all the major streaming services (Netflix, Disney+, HBO, Amazon Prime,...) using the built in streaming apps. It does this with big budget movies and series. I'm not sure but I suspect it has something to do with HDR (High Dynamic Range) content. I wish I could disable it. My older Samsung TV wasn't like this.

Great tv
