Love it....but....

I'll make this quick, I LOVE IT!!! What sucks is lack of storage or the option to add more. How can I perform a software update, when the TV out the box only gives like 200 MB. I had to delete the only two apps I downloaded and then tv still didnt have enough storage. Ima give it a week then change my review to a 2 star.

Would not recommend

I bought this TV in March of 2021 and had to return it to the store the next day as it was not working correctly. I returned it and it worked well for about three weeks. It is currently turning on and off by itself and I cannot correct it. I heard that Samsung were great products, but I am very unhappy with this product. Would not recommend.

Hello Janet, Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 and for your review. We appreciate your feedback regarding the issues you are experiencing with your TV powering itself on and off. Sometimes connected Smart devices send abnormal "power on" signals through the wireless network that triggers the TV to turn itself on. If you do not want this function, navigate to Settings > General > Network > Expert Settings > Power On with Mobile, and turn the setting off. If you are using an external device through HDMI, this also could cause the auto power on as Anynet+ is set on. Occasionally, connected devices such as game consoles (PS4, xbox) or cable set top boxes send power on signals, for example, if they have software updates. We recommend you to try turning Anynet+ off as it may be causing auto power on. Go to Setting- General - External Device Manager - Anynet+, then Disable (toggle button) If your TV still appears to turn off by itself, please also try disabling some of the TV's energy efficiency functions. See if Sleep Timer has been enabled. The Sleep Timer automatically turns the TV off after a specific period of time. Go to: Settings > General > System Manager > Time > Sleep Timer If the Sleep Timer has not been enabled, see if Auto Power Off or Off Timer has been enabled and disable it. - Settings > General > Eco Solution > Auto Power Off - Settings > General > System Manager > Time > Off Timer If the TV continues to turn on or off by itself continuously, please contact our TV Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs), available 8AM -12AM EST, 7 days a week. Or text HELP to 62913. For additional support resources, visit us on the Samsung website and click on the ‘Support’ link in the upper right corner of the homepage for: 1) More ‘Contact Us’ options – LiveChat, Facebook, Twitter, Samsung Community, Samsung Members app 2) Manuals & Software 3) Warranty Info 4) Product Registration: For access to easy warranty support, convenient opt-in to special promos and offers, faster troubleshooting and service, and quick notification of system updates. Verified Purchase

Very unhappy

Bought this for a Father's day gift, first off, i absolutely no not like FedEx. Went to all the trouble of taking old heavy TV down new one up and couldn't get it to work. Samsung had us call Sam's club. Had a really great guy who helped, had to go and find another TV. I will get a refund after vacation but ill have to pay in advance so it doesn't mess with my credit

Mighty god: Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 TV. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing a power cycling issue where your TV is turning itself on and off repeatedly. Please try a few trouble-shooting steps that may help solve the issue: 1) Check the power cable for damage and proper connection. 2) If the cable is bent, broken, kinked, pinched, pressed excessively (possibly by a heavy object on top of it) or damaged, this is likely the cause of the issue. Replace the cable. 3) Unplug the TV from the wall outlet for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. 4) If the power cycling allows enough time in between powering on and off, try updating the TV to the latest firmware. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software which can be found on the Support page of your TV model. 5) TVs which can connect to SmartThings can be turned on using compatible devices, sometimes automatically. However, if abnormal "power on" signals are sent through the wireless network, they will trigger this function and make the TV turn on. If you do not want this function, navigate to Settings > General > Network > Expert Settings > Power On with Mobile, and turn the setting off. If the issue persists after these steps, then the TV will need service. Please contact us so that we can better investigate your issue and assist you towards a solution or replacement. 1-800-SAMSUNG (8AM -12AM EST, 7 days a week) Or visit us on the Samsung website and click on the SUPPORT link in the upper right corner for: 1) Contact Us Options (LiveChat, Remote Support, Facebook, Twitter) 2) Product Support 3) Manuals and Downloads 4) Warranty Info 5) Product Registration: Registering your product gives you access to easy warranty support, convenient opt-in to special promos and offers, faster troubleshooting and service, and quick notification of system updates 6) Samsung Community: A great resource for getting help from Samsung moderators and customers and more 7) …and more product, repair, order, and care options Again, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on this product. Your feedback helps us continuously deliver best-in-class products and service. ~ Samsung Solutions

Fantastic TV!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would like to start this review by saying that i am some what of a TV snob. I research extensively before I make a purchase. Display size is very important to me but of equal importance is picture quality and features. This Samsung TV is smallest display in my home at 65 inches. Yes, I'm "that guy". The picture on this TV is stunning right out of the box. I do have a calibration disc that I use to fine tune the settings on my TVs. I didn't have to change any settings. I was really impressed with that. The sound from the built in speakers is also really very good. The remote is very simple to use and as a bonus it is a universal remote that works my DirecTV system and my sound bar. So no more having 3 or 4 remotes laying around. This thing has almost no frame to speak of which is very sleek looking. It has all the built in apps that you need with dedicated buttons on the remote for Netflix and Amazon. It also has built in Disney+ which is awesome. There are plenty of connections for all your other equipment such as sound bars, game consoles, and DVD players and you can control them all with this TV and remote. The one thing that I wish Samsung would change is that the power cord connects to the back of the TV on the complete opposite side of the unit from all of the other cable inputs. For those of us who detest cables running everywhere it creates more issues than it has too, especially since this could be easily fixed. Overall though, this is a great TV that you will love in your home. It's my 2nd Samsung TV and I'm sure won't be my last.

Disappointed

I bought this TV this week. The picture was great for 2 days. Turned the TV on this morning and every channel has green imaging. It is only clear now when still pictures are on the screen . . . Will be in touch with the store where I purchased it as I have only had it a few days now.

Good product with a few tweaks

the picture is great and it was easy to set up. i do think the remote could be more user friendly; using the arrows and enter button at the bottom for almost every operation is cumbersome. the home screen is also a bit frustrating because it defaults to a random series or movie if you hit a button incorrectly and the apps are very small compared to the screen. all in all a good product for the cost.

Good Screen Resolution

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a very nice smart TV with reasonable price and good quality pictures. I really enjoy watching shows and movies on this TV. The only thing that I believe it's missing. The voice command on the TV remote control.

OK

samsung's app access is not user-friendly. not intuitive and not easy to access when you have numerous regularly used apps. sound is terrible (not a big deal for most like me with a home theater system anyway). brightness and especially light/dark contrast is poor. still playing with color settings, but the presets are not helpful.

KP021: I’m sorry to hear that you’re not fully satisfied with the app access and brightness of your TU7000 TV. I am sorry to hear that you are not happy with the brightness levels of your picture. If the colors on your TV are correct but just a little too dark or bright you can try the different Picture Modes or manually adjust the Brightness settings to your liking. Dynamic Picture Mode will make pictures brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. Go to: Settings > Picture > Picture Mode > Dynamic Or manually adjust the Brightness and other settings to your liking. Press the HOME button on your remote, then navigate to: Settings > Picture > Expert Settings You may also want to disable Power Saving Mode which automatically adjusts the brightness to reduce the TV’s power consumption. Go to Settings> General> Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode. Ambient Light Detection will also automatically adjust the brightness level of the TV, according to the ambient light level, to reduce power consumption. If Ambient Light Detection has adjusted the screen brightness to a too bright or dark level, you can select Minimum Brightness to manually adjust the minimum screen brightness. Go to Settings> General> Eco Solution> Ambient Light Detection Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings>Support>Software Update. You may want to enable automatic updates for convenience. Select Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update. I hope this helps to improve your picture. Should you need further assistance with app access or with image troubleshooting, please contact Samsung Customer Support. Please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs), available 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week. Hi CallMeCarl, We are sorry to hear that your Samsung TU7000 TV is no longer working after two years. Samsung prides itself on high-quality products and a great customer experience. Please know we are here to help you. If your TV has a black screen even when it's on, it's quite possible it could actually be your external device and not your TV. Please try these troubleshooting steps for your blank screen issue: 1. Press the Home button on the remote. If the menu appears, the TV is powered on but is either not on the correct source or not receiving a signal. If the menu does not appear, the TV may be having power issues. Check the red standby light, a little red light at the edge of the TV that you aim the remote at. In normal use, the red standby light is on when the TV is off (indicating the TV is on standby), and the red standby light is off when the TV is in use (or doesn't have power). 2. Confirm the TV is set to the same source as the external device. For instance, if your cable box is connected to HDMI 1, set the TV source to HDMI 1. If the TV is set to the correct source but there is still no image, unplug and reconnect the AV connections one cable at a time from both ends of each cable. If there's any damage to the cable, it will need to be replaced. After you've reconnected the external device, turn it off and then back on. 3. Test the HDMI cable. Some TVs have an HDMI cable test. Some models only have this test after a software update, and older models do not have it. If your model does not have this test or is not connected by HDMI, skip to the next step. The test is designed for HDMI cords less than 6 feet long and may not give accurate results on longer cords. To perform the test, make sure the TV's source is still on the HDMI setting for the cable you want to test, and then navigate to Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information > HDMI Cable Test > Start Test. If the test says, the cable is bad, replace the cable. Service is not required. 4. Test different external devices. The final thing to rule out is the external device you're using. Try connecting a different device or using a different source port. If you were unable to test the cable in the previous step, then try swapping the cable, too. If the TV can display a picture in any other setup, then you've ruled the TV out as the cause of the issue. Keep trying various setups until you identify the device or cable that is not working and troubleshoot or replace it. If you continue to have issues, please give us a call so we can troubleshoot further with you. Contact us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Or visit us on the Samsung website and click on the ‘Support’ link for: 1) LiveChat with an agent 2) Manuals, Software, & Warranty Info ~ Samsung Advisor
