Metal box spring is exactly what i was hoping it would be. All parts were there, it is easy to assemble and is well made. The bolt holes all line up and they supply extra bolts just in case. It helps to have two people to move the assembled unit as its kind of heavy. Sam's price was 100.00 less than anywhere else.

Assembling the metal box spring was as simple as A, B, C. It took me about 15 to 20 minutes to complete assembly, and this was solely because I was being extra meticulous. I have owned wood box springs in the past and this metal upgrade (if I can call it that), certainly seems sturdier and I suspect likely to be more durable. I assigned 4 stars simply because I cannot predict what condition it will be in after the first year and beyond.

I am not very handy but this was very easy and user friendly. Took a few minutes to figure out how the pieces go together -- literally about five minutes -- and then I was off to assembly. It's connecting the dots. I did it by myself and then put it on the bed myself. You need some space to put it together.

At first I thought we had received the wrong item. I was expecting a large box and was surprised to see a narrow, long box. Upon opening the box I found components for putting together a box frame. After the initial surprise, I found the instructions were clear, all the parts labeled and present, they even threw in two extra bolts, just in case! The little ratchet tool was not very useful, but the hex key was more than sufficient to put the pieces together. This is a really good and useful box mattress.

I like the base. It’s nice design and goes together well. It looks good and made my mattress much more comfortable. But two of the slats have broken. They aren’t quite strong enough. We are both around 200#, so I don’t think they should break that easy. I mean there was activity involved but isn’t that what beds are made for?

Easy assembling and extremely sturdy

Not what I expected from the picture - I now have a metal box with a mattress but No Foundation :(

The image and the product do not match: the whole box spring is metal; the only part that is wood is the wood on the metal, that the mattress rests on. It does not have four legs as shown in the picture, it has metal all around resting on your floor. Additionally, the cover that was sent with my King size box spring does not fit the box spring: what i have is my mattress on ugly black metal. Trying to clean under the bed becomes an issue.

I was worried when box spring came in flat small box. I was surprised that I had to assemble. Seems to do the job, "metal frame" seem cheap.
