Bring back "Big Shoulder ribs"

Sams package looks a lot like the "big Shoulder" ribs that they used to sell. The taste is totally different... They are not 'bad', but the big shoulder ribs were five star. I understand that it is simply a profit issue, but would gladly pay more for the original.

Nothing bad to say

These were meaty and tender. When I purchased these I put them in the freezer to have at a later date and this way it was not taking up room in the fridge since I bought them before Thanksgiving. The use by date was Feb 3, 2023 so they could have stayed in the fridge but they take up so much room therefore I put mine in the freezer. Wish it also included an extra sauce packet. It needed just a bit more sauce otherwise they were great.

Disappointed

Tried these for the first time and was extremely disappointed. I was looking for a 'treat' for my hubby for dinner and thought this was the perfect thing. Neither of us liked them - so tough and hard to chew (and, yes, we have our own teeth!!!!). Of course there were leftovers, but my hubby refused to eat them again. Out they went. Sorry, Sams, but we not fans of this product.

Not great

My wife made these for me to take to work for lunch. I reheated them just a few minutes in the microwave. They were very dry, pretty tough, not much taste to the sauce. They almost had an institutional quality. I wonder if they would have been better right out of the oven. I was really looking forward to them, so I am a bit disappointed. The taste wasn't terrible, just mediocre. They needed much more sauce. The sauce needs more flavor. Maybe they were too lean. Fat can add juice and flavor. If i was served these at a restaurant, I would be asking for the manager. Better than a bologna sandwich, not as good as a ham sandwich. They cured my hunger.

Not bad

I purchased 2 packs… I didn’t want to be in the kitchen all day. I know the reviews are kind of split but thought i would take my chances. first I followed the advice in one of the reviews and covered my pan in foil. I also followed a review and wrapped the ribs in foil. They were ok but a little chewier than I like and the flavor was on the bland side. I felt like it needed more flavor such as salt. I decided to re wrap the relaxing ribs and to place them back in the oven for about 15 more min. I also added Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue to the ribs. Additional time and sweet baby ray bbq sauce turned these into winners!

Made me feel better...

I notice a BIG difference in how I feel when I eat meat. It was late and I had not eaten any meat all day and felt sick. This and some corn on the cob made me feel so much better. It only took 20 minutes to heat and I cut off 3 of the ribs. The sauce is mild, which is what you want. I like these and the Kingsford brand ribs. These are a better value due to the size. Just cut and heat what you can eat in one serving. I'm hoping to get 5 meals out of this rack of ribs. I'll be buying these again for sure!

Off the bone

Some say the ribs are tough. Yes, if not prepared properly. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Place foil on a baking sheet pan, take the ribs out of package, place on the foil. Then pull up the foil on all sides. Add one cup of water into the foil and finish completely wrapping the foil around the ribs. Place ribs in the oven for one and half to two hours. Ribs will be moist and fall off the bone.

THESE WERE GREAT!

I don't know how others cooked these ribs or how they found them "meatless' or "tough". Maybe they happened to get a bad package??? I followed the directions and they were very meaty and tender and I will buy them again. I usually buy baby back racks from Sonny's BBQ and I found these pretty good although I usually don't find baby back bones this big....if they were, in fact, regular ribs, I liked them anyway.

Tough

We bought these ribs recently. They smelled good and I didn’t mind the sauce, but they were so tough and fatty I couldn’t eat them. Good ribs should fall off the bones. I had to pry these apart. My husband ate a few but said they weren’t worth eating again. More than half of them went in the trash. So disappointing.

Yummy

Cooked already, place them in oven, you dont even need to add the extra sauce. Demo ladies at humble location give me a sample and I got sold..so tender it came out the bone. Maybe whoever has issue doesnt cook it well, the demo lady told me how..and people believe i even cook them from scratch!!
