[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 2 cats and they both are pretty smelly after they use the litter box, so I am always looking for something to combat the odor without harming them. I usually only use fragrance free cat liter so I was hesitant using this litter. My cats did use it, I'm not sure if it did much with odor, but my cats haven't had a weird reaction to it using it for over a week now.

I used to buy semi-clumping, odorless, dust free litter sand but got tired of it not eliminating smells. So, in order to test the Fresh Step odor shield, i put it in a single use litter box on a trip, lining it up w plastic cover and whenever we're on the move, would fasten the plastic cover and put it in the back of the car. For three days, even without cleaning it, I smelled nothing in my car or in the hotel room!!! Even after my cat took a dump, after being buried, u wouldnt smell anything. This odor shielding feature must be the best in the market. Also, clumps really well, does not go into small pieces when picked up, odor shielding, and although a lil dust gets off when it's poured, my cat didnt sneeze and has no allergies towards it. This is by far not what it used to be. Can’t believe the odor. Never had this happened before. Have always used Fresh Step with great clean results. Not anymore. I thought my cat was having issues, but after reading the reviews I realize it’s the litter. Will not be using any longer. Will find a better product for my cat.

Unlike bargain litters, the fresh step actually holds the waste together after it clumps for an easy and quick clean up. Big container for better bargain and last a decent time before topping off.

It reminds me of sand texture and has a fresh scent of febreze that smells so good even after my cat has finish during his business number 1 and 2. My cat went inside his litter box with no problem and he liked the smell of the litter too. When he was finished the litter had clumps in it so I could remove his waste easily. I will surely recommend this product for cat lovers. The box of fresh step odor shield litter is well worth the money and you can rest a sure that you will not smell any bad odors because the litter absorbs urine odor good.

It clumps extremely well, forming tight, solid clumps that scoop up easily without breaking apart. Cleaning the litter box has been much quicker and less messy. Our cats went right to it without hesitation and seemed very comfortable using it. It does a great job eliminating odor and keeps the area smelling fresh. It has also lasted longer than expected, making it both effective and convenient for daily use.
