I got this to use in my cat's new automatic litter pan. It worked OK in the pan and, more importantly, the cat was OK with using this litter. It is not overly dusty, which is a good thing.

WE HAVE USED UNSCENTED FRESH STEP MULTI-CAT FOR YEARS AND THEN SWITCHED TO FEBREZE WHEN OUR OLDER KITTY BECAME DEAF AND BLIND. NO ODOR BUT A FRESH SCENT NOW HELPS HIM FIND THE LITTER BOX SO HE IS HAPPY. HE SMELLS US, FOOD AND CAN FIND THE POTTY.

We have two cats and we always use the fresh step multi cat and we only have to scoop every 2-3 days and that is not because of the smell but because of the amount of waste
