The Febreze scented litter worked fine for our two adult cats, whose litter boxes are in the garage. But the scent was too strong for our new kitten. He has his own litter box and loves to play in the litter. He ended up smelling strongly of Febreze, Too strong a smell for a cuddly kitty. All we could smell was the scent, which became overpowering.

When people come to my apartment and a cat comes out, the people usually say; I never knew you had a cat. I say I don't, I have 2 cats. My apartment doesn't smell like I have any animals. Its really great, and the 25 lb. box seems to last at least a month.

Living in an apartment with a cat calls for close quarters and this keeps the smell at bay. There is no cat litter smell to the apartment and no signs of a cat other than a toy mouse here and there!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We only use Fresh Step. Its hands down the best litter on the market today. My life revolves around odor control-- we run a rescue out of my home and we average 15 cats here, 6 of them are my core group. I absolutely obsess over cat odors, etc. Everyone always comments how nice my home smells, despite the revolving door of cats I foster. True, it helps if you are a bit OCD with the litter pans if you have a large "pride" of cats at home, but the cat litter makes all the difference. Need proof? Switch to another national brand and see how long you last. I made it one night with "Untidy Flat"* litter. In the morning, I gave it away and went back to Fresh Step. Only thing that "Untidy Flat"* was good for was a storage container for kibble! *brand name has been changed

I have tried multi-cat, and although I feel it isn't as good as the extreme, it's a good back up if the other is out of stock. I like that it keeps all the odors ar bay, but it doesn't clump quite as good as the extreme does. We still use it though, because it is a good product. We just prefer the extreme when available.

This product throws a ton of dust. It seems like adding febreeze made it even dustier. My poor cats couldn't use the litter box without sneezing. Refilling the box made it very difficult for anyone to breathe. The addition of febreeze to everything was the catalyst necessary to finally quit clay litters for good. Thanks Fresh Step!

Bought this to use while we were away for the long weekend. Usually, I clean out the litter pans several times a day. Since we were not going to be home for the usual clean outs, I wanted something that the cats would use and would not be stinking to high heaven when we returned. This product delivered! Three cats and four days later, the pans were full but the odor was undetectable. Thank you Fresh Step.
