Great entertainment for my 3 children. When I recieved this product I inventoried this product by seperating it into 10 steps at a time per instruction booklet. I purchased Thompsons Water Seal (Honey Cedar) and sealed all boards before assembly. Recommend to have a cordless impact drill and a standard cordless drill, one for lag bolts and one set up for pilot holes. Took approx. 12hrs to unpackage, organize, and waterseal. Approx. 12hrs to assemble. Recommend to purchase sand box liner with cover or I purchased 1x6 doug fir and painted green to match green on playset for more play area.

I recently put this play set together for my kids, and they LOVE it. My mother and I assembled it, and it did take a bit longer than the instructions indicated (we are both relatively skilled at this type of work, and put in 4 solid days of building). On the other hand, the instructions were detailed and accompanied by clear pictures, which made the construction process smooth. All the wood and hardware were included, with extras of commonly used pieces. The resulting swing set it lovely to look at, highly functional, and great fun for both my 1 year old and my 4 year old. The sandbox and double swing are particular hits!

If you want to buy cheap this set is for you but be prepared to spend time on assembly. The instructions are poor at best. Be prepared to assemble and disassemble and assemble again as you find out in a later step that the part has to be turned a certain way to make a later step work. there is no indication of this in the instructions of the earlier step. Very frustrating. Also very poor quality control, many cracked pieces.

We just assembled this thing last week. Here is my experience and my recommendations. After ordering this Playset, I printed off a set of instructions. It gave me a chance to get familiar with the parts and assembly sequence. It also gave me dimensions that I needed to make sure ground was leveled. I bought better wood screws with torx head. I believe I went with 2", 1-1/4", and 2-1/2 inch screws. I should have got a box or 2 of 1-1/8" because there were many of those and I had to use their phillips head they provided, which was a pain. So, when the playset arrives in 4 large boxes, I recommend going through each box, one at a time and checking off the inventory sheet that is provided in each box. Lay everything out. There are stamps on each board and they are faint. If one is too faint, use the directions that show the piece and re-label it at this point. Put all the stamps in the same direction. This helps later when searching for the board you need. In my case, the boards that I laid vertical, I had stamps at top. If boards were placed horizontal, the stamps were to the left. There were some boards marked the same, but in different boxes. So keep that in mind. After you inventory each box, you can put all like boards together to save time and floor space. Like other reviews on here, it is absolutely necessary to sort out the hardware before you begin. The instructions are set up in steps. Starts out with sub assemblies, such as the slide, rock wall, etc. All together their are about 140 steps or so. Each step states what hardware is needed to complete the step. So buy large baggies and put hardware in there for each step, and clip the bag to each step. This is time consuming but will save you time, I promise you. Once my adult son and I started, it took us about 14 hours the first day. We stopped twice to eat. The second day, we spent 16 hours on it, taking only 1 break. The last day took about 3 hours attaching the sub assemblies onto the fort. The instructions were pretty good. The only problem was an occasional board that was hard to tell which way was to be orientated. But for the most part, we had zero trouble. Just takes time and patience. I recommend using a couple of cordless drivers for screws. Do not use an impact wrench.. we destroyed a few pieces of hardware with one. Also, there are 3 or 4 places to put spindles that need to be spaced apart. Make spacers before you begin. It helps. There are places you need to drill holes. Almost every hole we drilled through the board (mostly 7/16") blew out and splintered on the back side. So have some sandpaper and stain so you can make it not look so bad. Overall this was a good bonding experience for my son and I, and his daughter absolutely loved the playset. I believe it was worth it. As a side note, we had a party with about 30 people and many children. I bought a bunch of fireworks and the kids watched from the playset. It was great to see them have such a fun time.

We bought the playground last November as an early Christmas gift. Both my kids, 7 and 4 years old, enjoy playing on the playground for hours at a time. They love the variety of activities this playground has and my daughter loves her house and bench seats to play restaurant to mom and dad. As for the structure, it’s sturdy with both kids and a few of their friends playing on it. We had a third party put it together and when they put it together there were several pieces missing for the balcony. The playground company sent them within a few weeks (thankfully the kids were still able to play on the playground but just couldn’t use the higher balcony til all the guard rails came in). Highly recommend the playground! The kids will be using it for years to come.

We just had a Skyfort II playset installed this past week and absolutely love it! We have two young boys and they have been enjoying it everyday since we had it installed. Perfect solution to help the kids get outside more (especially since parka are temporarily closed where we live). The actual playset is extremely sturdy and everyone we have had over since installing it had complimented us on it. Thanks Backyard Discovery for making awesome, safe, and affordable playsets!

My husband put it together. He said it was fairly easy to put it together. He recommends going through to make sure you have all the parts and keeping boxes separated. He said it took roughly 24 hours to assemble. The kids love it. It's very attractive looking in the yard too. We purchased it through Sams because it was $500 less than it was with a competitor.

Nice guy that delivered it. Instructions said 2 people about 20-26 hours, i did it myself in 16. Quality instructions for assembly, only 2 times was i missled in assembly. Look at each piece carefully with pic given to make sure ALL wholes line up as instructed. My little one loves it and each day she sees it, its like a new toy for her. The slide is super fast.

We tried purchasing playset last year, but all the ones that we were interested in were sold out. I’m so glad we waited for this one. It includes all the features we were looking for and has something for both our 4 and 1.5 year old with room to grow. I expect the 4 year old can enjoy this for another 6+ years. My husband read many reviews before purchasing this and was a little concerned about the comments regarding confusing instructions. He is happy that we went with this one and has said multiple times that he doesn’t agree with those reviews. Yes, it took us close to 20 hours to put together, but the instructions were clear and easy to follow. We had no issues with missing or broken pieces.

Love the design and features of the playset, especially for the In Club price. I only had a couple of the cedar wood pieces that were not cut well, but even those were usable. I also had a couple bolts that I needed to buy replacements for. I spent a total of $2.49 on the bolts so I would not have to wait for replacement parts from the manufacturer. The cedar wood is adequate but not as sturdy as treated dimensional lumber you would buy from a lumber yard. That being said, it is much easier to work with since it is lighter, precut, and predrilled. I did 90% of the assembly by myself over a 5 day period working about 6 hours a day. I must note that I am older, slower, and more deliberate than some. Once the set was all together and anchored, I was quite pleased with the sturdiness of the playset. My two year old granddaughter loves it, and with proper care I believe she will be able to enjoy the set for many years. If the ratings system would allow, my rating would be 4.5 out of 5.
