After reading all the reviews on here it helped a ton putting it together. I never review anything, but I will start now. The swing set is perfect when it’s put together, but it does take some time. Read all the reviews and you’ll know all the hang ups. When you’re confused, take a look at the picture and it will usually help. I got turned around a couple times and had to take some items apart, but it was minimal. I think the biggest suggestion I can give you is to spend the time sorting everything when you get it. I was missing the one inch wood screws and the telescope was smashed. Customer Service took my call and they were delivered the next day. Make sure you have a lot of room to lay the wood out, it’s amazing how many pieces this thing actually comes in. I sorted everything in alphabetical order and numeric order. Finding boards was easy. I would also suggest putting all the bags of Fasteners in large containers. I just put them in large zip lock bags, but plastic containers would work well. I received it on a Thursday and started that night after work. With the use of a spotlight I was able to work for about 4 hours on Thursday and Friday. My wife helped maybe 1-2 hours a night after the kids went to bed. Then on Saturday I was up and started by 7am and worked until 11pm. I did have help from 10am until 4pm. So all and all it took me about 23-25 hours with I would say 8-9 hours of help from another person. 6 hours with another handy male and about 3 with my wife. I really wanted it done by Sunday am so I was working pretty hard with minimum breaks, but overall I think it goes together pretty straight forward. Read the directions carefully and print more than one set if you have help. My 2.5 daughter loves it! Good luck…

We saved up for this purchase, knowing for about a year this was the model we wanted. It took my husband two days to assemble by himself, with some help from me (mostly just holding things up). Thankfully everything came labelled and we set everything out so we could see each piece. The instructions were easy to follow. The actual playset itself is great! There are so many activities that can be done - climbing, swinging, sliding, playing in the sand, having lunch on the little picnic table, playing in the fort...my kids are constantly finding new ways to enjoy it - the newest being the creation of an obstacle course starting at one end and working their way to the other. Another nice feature is that we were able to remove the 2 seater swing attachment and in its place, put a baby swing. Now all three girls from ages 1 to 11 are enjoying it!

I just purchased this set for my grandsons and paid the extra money to have it assembled so this 'quality' play set was installed properly. The installers did a horrible job, striped nails, unstable perch, splintered wood etc. But I was also extremely disappointed by the quality of the set itself. Supposedly it is a cedar set but yet the roof shingles are made out of extremely poor 'wood' more like balsa wood, you scrape it with your fingernail and the 'wood' stain comes off. Because the wood is so soft, the install quality was extremely poor. I did A LOT of research before purchasing but had I seen the set in person, I would not have paid the extra money. DO NOT BUY IT OR HAVE IT INSTALLED.

Our kids love their swing set! It took my husband 2 Saturdays and several evenings after work to put it together by himself. He had a little help from me and the kids (organizing all the pieces). It went together reletively smoothly, there were a couple of the predrilled holes that didn't line up just right, so he had to make his own. As the kids have played on it (for 2 month, almost daily) some of the screws around the swings have loosened up, espcially by the glider swing. My kids have complained that the "crows nest" wiggles a little but it seems to be secure and safe. My husband says it is just how it is comstructed. Overall we are happy with the payset, and feel it was a good choice.

This is an excellent product and well-worth the money. I bought it for my grandson who totally enjoys it. My son and I assembled it over 3 weekends. We both have significant woodworking experience and really enjoyed the project. We did not encounter any problems as mentioned in a few other reviews. No parts were missing and all were clearly identified, no boards were cracked or otherwise damaged, one floor assembly had minor warping but was easily fixed, and holes were accurately pre-drilled. Assembly is a major project and probably should not be attempted without some woodworking experience. The instructions are clear but must be followed carefully. We installed 2 boards incorrectly but it was our fault not the instructions. Be careful not to over-tighten screws to avoid wood splitting. The end product is sturdy and an attractive yard set. We will apply a wood sealant as directed in the instructions and expect the playset to last for many years. Most importantly, the kids love it!

Looks nice and is very sturdy when all done, which is not what I thought when first looking at the boards in the boxes...some warped and they are not standard size 1Xs. Sort, sort, sort and prepare ahead before assembling! Use the pictures!! especially for locating correct boards because some are not well marked and pay close attention to the orientation of the holes. Reading at least one or two steps ahead will also save some frustration. Lots more predrilling than we anticipated, but two drill batteries and quick change drill/socket/screw bits saved lots of time. Some of the not so straight boards can be manipulated into place and secured - just takes two to do it. The instructions show the highest little window in the back, but we put it in the front as it is in the promo pic, and also the instructions show all of the window frames installed on the inside and we put on the outside because they look better. We had 2 missing floor boards and another split board, but just called the 800 # and they were at our house in 2 days (FedEx). No questions asked - great customer service. This set is for smaller kids and I think 10 yrs old would be stretching it other than the monkey bars and swings. I researched many sets and this was the best value, but I don't have kids at home all of the time so it will only get occassional use. You can find the instruction manual online by searching 'leisure time products sky fort.' It does look impressive and we plan to seal it every year to keep it looking nice.

I purchased this about a month ago for my son for his 3rd birthday. I chose this one because i wanted something he could grow into and use for years to come. i can’t wait to make many years of memories on this fort! so far, easy to put together and great instructions. we are in the home stretch and almost finished putting it together. can wait to finish! you won’t regret this purchase!

So much more for your money. You won't be sorry if you buy this play/swing set. Great price compared to other vendors. Did the assembly on our own, husband and son are carpenters. If not handy I would recommend paying the extra for the assembly. Great value for the money!

Wanted something to help get the kids out of the house more when the weather was nice. We live so far away from the closest park, so I wanted something close to home, so we got this play set. A neighbor and I put it together in a few afternoons and we had no problems. Once up, it looks really good and the kids really love it!

We’ve had this playscape for about 8 months. Our 3 kids (4 and under) LOVE it and I know they’ll play on it for years and years to come. The instructions were straightforward and easy to follow. Definitely the best thing we’ve ever bought for our kids!
