The Skyfort II so far has been an excellent purchase! For the price, there is a lot for kids to do: Swings, monkey bars, lookout tower, etc. We did have a few broken pieces, but Backyard Discovery’s support was phenomenal! We recommend this set for any friends who have the space. It’s a no-brainer!

A few things I would like to point out: 1. This thing comes with heavy duty hardware (probably heavier than it needs to be). I would rather we go bigger than risk not having enough so I was happy to see that. 2. The instructions are pretty darn solid. There are a few parts where the picture looks like it is mounted on the other side of something just because of the way the 3d image is laid out so you have to be careful with that. There was only a few steps where I had this problem and figured it out later when I noticed something was missing and just looked back at the step and moved it. There was also a few places where I put something on backwards meaning the other holes on the board did not line up so you have to make sure you are looking at the picture good to see where the other holes should face. I did that a few times too and simply flipped the board back around or drilled new holes. Overall, I was very impressed with the instructions and the few issues I had were my own fault for not paying close enough attention. 3. This thing does not come weather treated so you will need to do that up front.. The good thing about this is you can pick the color you want. 4. I stained and built this thing in 32 hours by myself. I am not a carpenter but I consider myself a pretty handy guy and have put a lot of things together using instructions. If you know how to use tools and you can follow instructions, you should be good to go. I called a few places and they wanted around $600 to install it. At 32 hours, that would be $18.75 an hour. So I guess it depends on how much you make, how much your time is worth, and how much you enjoy doing these types of projects. I have a tent setup with tables and all of my tools and parts were setup....with a radio and some beer...it was good times. 5. This thing is bigger than it looks. The house part of it, I can literally stand straight up in it and it feels roomy. I am 6' tall so the peak of the house is probably 7' and the bay windows actually add room too and provide a little ledge that you can sit stuff on. Overall i am very happy with this purchase. We are going to be the envy of the neighborhood and I have two girls so we are going to "girly it up" with some flowers and curtains and stuff :-)

We bought two of these -- one for each set of grandchildren. I could not recommend it more highly. Quality product. For one we got professional installation, for the other a local handyman to help. Go with the professional installation! It was less expensive and took hours rather than days to complete. Your favorite kids will love this.

I bought this for my 4 year old grandsons birthday and he loves it. Spends hours playing on it. He loves to climb up the latter and head up to the look out tower. He loves the rock climb and the closed in 2nd floor as his hide out. I had couple boards left off for ventilation, in case you notice in the photos

We love it so far. Only just finished putting it up a week ago but a big hit with the kids. We love how it has a little bit of everything. The fort area is a good size and has more head room than other forts we looked at. With 4 kids we needed a big fort with lots of different areas to play on. Some other playsets have the swings hung under the monkey bars which I think is stupid, but this one has them seperate. The crows nest is the best part about it according to my kids. Also there is a little picnic bench underneath which we didn't really see in the picutres before we purchased the playset but were really happy to notice it later. Some of the little screws and washers were missing but no big parts. And some of the instructions were a bit confusing but we were able to figure it out anyway.

The order came within the week and we started putting it together soon after. Pros: - many different play areas for different age kids to play!!! - looks good - sturdy, good quality (great swing hooks, sturdy rock wall) - didn't take as long to put together as thought (only one week on and off, but all day saturday) - one person can put most of it together except a few parts Cons: - wrong 2 pieces (have yet to order them) - seperating the peices by letter/#'s - had to be there for delievery (but delievered in the evening) - monkey bars spin (will try to fix) Overall a great playset and would recommend!!!!

We bought this after reading a lot of reviews. We had another place at an hour previous house. This playset is shockingly substandard in the quality of the materials used. The wood is so thin that when my children step into the playhouse, it creaks and leaves you with the distinct feeling that if they jump it might crack and the structure might collapse. When two of her friends came over to play, the kids themselves came and told us that they thought that this Playhouse is not safe. The swings are dangerously close. I actually removed the middle swing after a collision. The monkey bar is poorly designed. It is way shorter than it should be. The spacing of the bars has defects and the strange wooden barrier on the playhouse side is too low and actually dangerous for children as they try to get on or off the Monkey Bar. I suspect some finely crafted test might show that the material can withstand usage as long as it is within the exact specifications. As a parent I don't need a legally accurate document showing this to be safe provided it is used by children exactly per the specifications. Children do not know and should not have to know the finer details of how they should be using a playset. This does not feel safe. It is not safe based on actual collision of the swings that I experienced. I am honestly left wondering about the experiences of the parents who have given this a positive rating. The cynic in me wonders if those are Insider reviews. Several of the parents have pointed out to the challenges I have listed here. There is nothing good about the playset and this is a strongly not recommended.

The delivery was fast from date of purchase. The directions are a bit overwhelming. At times they are not clear ( such as which way the holes go, and how certain pieces fit together) and you don't realize it until you are putting it together. It will take 2 adults to put it together if not 3. My best advice is when you are putting it together go through the book and see which pieces fit together so you know which way the pre-drilled holes go on certain pieces. Even better advice pay someone else to put it together . Not all our pieces where In the correct boxes as it stated in the directions, but we did have everything. Which can be frustrating. It is a good buy, and the kids love it.

Our daughter is 3 and she has new twin sisters. We wanted something she could use today, but would be fun for all three and their friends as they grow. The Skyfort II is nails this aspect of development! There is plenty she can already do, from the sand box, picnic table, swings, slide, and crow's nest (amazing!). There are also a few enticing challenges like the climbing wall and monkey bars that she will grow into. It is also attractive. I cannot express how important that is. Why ruin your backyard with a hideous monstrosity? Sure, it's for the kids, but that doesn't mean is has to be an eyesore. As they continue to grow our house will definitely be the place to be!

We love this swingset, which is used daily by our 8 year old daughter and the three class mates that come over every day after school. Although they can't stand up straight under the club house, they have plenty of clearance, and more, on the rest of the set. My 6'1" husband can stand in the clubhouse with ample headroom. We elected to apply sealant to every piece of wood prior to assembly, which took approximately 16 hours. Actual assembly took approximately 24 hours, achieved sporadically over a 10 day period. We weren't missing any pieces, however four were mislabled. The directions are fairly clear; several times we had to redo work when we secured wood in the right spot, but on the wrong side. It has been up for one month, played on daily by four children who average 52 pounds, and they are not gentle on it. We could not be happier.
