I was really impressed from the time I purchased online at Sam's to completion. Our grandchildren will love this! The ABF Freight driver was very helpful in unloading the 4 large heavy boxes by forklift onto my 18' trailer hooked up to my truck so I could parked it in my backyard. We opted to hire a local retired carpenter friend to put this swing set together instead of paying someone we did not know $500. With my help it took us 2 full days and I paid my friend the $500. I wanted to make sure every step was followed correctly, and I must say that whoever engineered the design, layout, safety and looks did a fantastic job. The quality is superb and the enjoyment for our 'grands' will be priceless.

The kids cant get enough. Its no public playground as far as strength, so dont sit a grownup at the bench unless you want to be reminded you weigh more than 150lb. Im 188 and it creeks at me. Lol but it is sturdy and i can climb into the tower and stand no problem. Its perfect for growing littles!

Our Skyfort II was shipped on schedule and included thorough directions and all needed parts/hardware (no parts were damaged or missing). With 2 people assembling (with modest experience-level) it took about 25 hours to assemble. We were impressed with the quality of this play set and anticipate that our kids will enjoy it for years to come!

Awesome playground / swingset. Directions could add a tad more detail. You will need more time to assemble, unless you have some experience assembling a set like this. Pay attention to the pilot holes pre drilled as you go. Overall a really nice set.

This is the first playset that I have purchased for my 7 kids. I had it professionally assembled and it looks good, but there were a couple board that were cracked and will have to be replaced. My kids like it but the older kids state that the boards feel like they are going to break, so I will reenforce some areas so that all the kids feel safe. My son only weighs 90 lbs and the boards gave a little from his weight. The swings and slide say rated for 150, but the slide is very questionable. The slide is not solid rigid plastic and sags when kids slide down.

This is actually the first review I've ever taken the time to give, but I am doing so because of the great experience we have had. We built a large two-tiered retaining wall on a steep slope so that we would be able to put this in our backyard. The construction on that got delayed because of weather, but I was able to talk to the delivery company of the play set (because it is a scheduled delivery) and they conveniently held on to it for a week until I was ready for it to be delivered. I also paid to have it assembled and was VERY impressed by the company that did this (reached out to me to work with my schedule since someone has to be home and were very accommodating when I had to reschedule the installation). The two guys took less than 6 hours to put it up and it would have taken me two weeks. Our son absolutely loves this and we have received many compliments from others in the neighborhood since it has been up. I would definitely recommend this play set.

The swing set came in 4 well packaged boxes. The instructions were very easy to follow. Took 7 days to install it myself with no assistance. I strongly recommend you seal the cedar as soon as you complete the installation. The kids love this one. About to purchase their pergola for the adults to enjoy.

Not terribly difficult to put together. However, the slide molding was a little off and it starting to come apart after only a few weeks. Also, this isn't cedar. It almost feels like particle board. The people who work for backyard discovery are wonderful and friendly.

This is a very long review but we buy items based off of reviews so we wanted to be as thorough as possible. Hope it helps! Assembly: Instructions for assembly were not clear with how they were labeled. The pictures were not clear where the wood is supposed to be (in the front, back, etc.). Some of the boards we received were mislabeled and we did not figured it out until we put the swing set together. Overall assembly was frustrating. Took 3 experienced adults in total 3.5 full days. We read someone else's review which stated to sort out all the pieces ahead of time. So helpful but took about 6 hours to do! Quality: For the price point the quality is not what we expected. The wood is very very dry lightweight cedar and prone to splitting. Not all the holes were pre-drilled and we had to pre-drill or re-drill ourselves. The first time it rained some of the manufacturer stain started to peel off (about 6 boards). Due to the quality of the wood the structure of the wood is creaky. The money bars good for children weight (if they can reach them). The slide is beyond disappointing. There are 4 plastic tubes that structure the slide. I would not be comfortable going down the slide with my son, which I was looking forward to. The slide is not molded plastic. The instructions do not give weight restrictions for each unit. My husband (190 lbs.) tested each swing, the ladder, the fort, but was not comfortable trying the slide, monkey bars, or the observation desk. I tested the observation deck (130 lbs) and was not comfortable. The wood felt wobbly and unsafe. There is floor of the observation hovers above the swing set beam. Makes it rickety. My husband is going to have to reinforce the floor. For the price, we shouldn't have to. Overall Maintenance: We are going to have to stain twice a year, especially since it has been up for a week and the stain is already flaking. Some pieces probably even need to be sanded. Overall, it is a very nice looking swing set. We expected higher quality wood for the price we paid. We are comfortable with our son and his friends playing with it. For the size it was a good price. That may be where the quality declined. Our son loves it.

We purchased this with assembly and it was all done in about 2-3 weeks. Thank goodness we paid the extra for assemby; definitely worth it. Reviews said it took an average of 40 hours to do themselves and when we saw pics of the hundreds of pieces laid out, we said heck no. With an actual assembly team, it still took almost 14 hours. The fort on top and picnic area on bottom are appealing as well as the monkey bars, which are harder to find these days. There were some minor dings and scratches. The wood is pretty but not as strong or resistant as I had imagined. Still, I would recommend this to everyone searching for an affordable higher-end playset.
