When I bought this set I was very excited to put it together. after finishing the first two bags it looked great, was upset with stickers and not printed parts. Most of my issues came when doing bag 3 and 4 and final assembly. The set is nice but my planet earth and moon section is way to heavy and keeps tilting my sun section, and every time I set it on my shelf it looks like it's going to tip over and fall to the floor. I don't think the weight distribution was properly calculated for this model. I will try to keep it stable for the time being but if it continues to tip over on my shelf, I will disassemble and box it away. Good luck if you do buy it.

I loved this set, my 10 year old son built this nearly on his own, though I would still say it's an intermediate level build in terms of difficulty. This was a good price too, compared to other sets. My only complaints are that 1) It arrived with the box crushed, which spoiled the gift aspect and 2) there is no part of this review devoted to the state in which I received the item so I have to give an artificially lower score to the other aspects of the kit

I was excited about this build. I bought it on impulse because I love the space sets. I thought it was super cool that it rotates and shows the dates and moon phases. Theres a lot of gears though. I put it together and can't get it to rotate past January. I took it apart and was able to get the earth and sun to spin respectively, but when I put it back together it still jams. Surprised no one else has mentioned this. I love lego and I won't stop building but this one left me very disappointed.

Details are incredible. Grandson did project right away. He absolutely loved the project

I love it and the idea. I need Lego to make a solar system set that I can hang from the ceiling :)

This was a fun build especially timely with the eclipse. Of course, not to scale but still fun to demo.

Fun build and educational though I feel a 10 year old would have a difficult time building this project.

Easy to assemble and the functionality will prove useful for a long time as I demonstrate the basics of planetary motion to the kids.

Function is great. Intriguing to watch and explain to the grandkids how things work. It's an impressive piece, really. So many moving parts!
