Overall feel of the trimmer is good, but does have some flaws: 1. The body trimmer doesn't work very well, not at all a close trim. I have a very old Philips trimmer, and it works like a charm and provide much better results. 2. The awkward placement of the on/off button, and how sensitive it is. 3. The comb sizes are wrong or at all completely different from universal comb sizes. I usually use 3mm and 5mm comb for my beard, but when I did the same with 7000, it trimmed way more than expected. And I checked with couple other people who had purchased the same trimmer and they have similar opinions. Overall not impressed.

I have found this product to be compact making it idea for travel or at home. It is lightweight yet powerful enough for easy handling when trimming head, beard, mustache etc.. hair. The different attachment allow for a variety of stylish hair cuts. When trimming it produces a close clean finish.

My only complaint is at time when I try to take a feature off, the way I hold it activates the shaver. I have not been cut. I don't think I am holding it wrong. It is great and has lots of features I was looking for (especially the ear/nose hair trimmers.)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven’t been able to find an ear and nose attachment that sufficiently cuts the nose and ear hair. Maybe the circular rotating blade isn’t the best design. I don’t know but everyone I buy just seems to make a lot of noise in my ear and nose but seldom cuts the hair and even when it does it doesn’t cut it close to the skin.

[Employee of philipsglobal] I was trimming my beard and cut my lips with even 1mm guard on. The blade moves too close. I had been a Series 5000 user for years and that never had such an issue. Also I very much miss the precision trimmer head that the series 5000 had. The new one's precision trimmer is not goot at all for me. The power button is too soft to the touch. I keep swtiching it off all the time while trimming. I also want to point out that when I use the nose hair trimmer head, it creates a vibration fequency that is highly irritating for my nerves. It simulates a similar feeling as pre-sneezing tingling sensation but only highly amplified. I still need to go back to my old trimmer for my nose hair trimming and the precision trimming. Other than that it is a solid products. But these issues are big tickets for me for sure that will hold me back from getting another 7000.

I owned a Phillips trimmer for the past 11 years, which still works, but the battery life has gotten really bad. Bought this one reluctantly, since I wasn't used to so many attachments. But I like the pouch they give to keep everything safe. I also didn't realize how much I'd like the nose attachment. It's really easy to take off and attach pieces.

Replace my 8 year old trimmer with my first Philips. Like day and nite. Charges fast, comfortable to use, nice trim, easy to change heads. I wish I had bought a Philips the first time. Only down side is the power switch may turn on when packed in my toiletry bag, need a lock on the power switch. Great product.

Overall this is a great product - it does a nice trimming job, is very sturdy and I especially like that it can be rinsed under water, which makes for easy cleaning. However, it is much heavier than the 5000, and less comfortable to hold. My only gripe is with the grip - I periodically turn it off by accident because of the small grip area above the easily-pressed power switch.

This trimmer/shaver doesn't work all that well. The battery doesn't last as long as advertised, the shave isn't closed, the nose and ear trimmer attachment doesn't seem to work at all, and every couple of minutes, I accidentally turn it off because the power switch is where my thumb wants to be. All around poor design.

This is a great tool, especially for the price. Many improvements over a previous Philips product that I’ve been using. All that prevented a 5 star rating is that it would have been idea to supply a storage tray. It did come with a bag, but over time I’m sure that some of the pieces will become damaged. Still I would highly recommend this product. So far, so good.
