Long-lasting battery, getting many hours on a single charge. I'm still on the first charge from more than 6 weeks ago when I bought it, and I use the trimmer at least once, sometimes twice a week. Precision cutting, cuts easily and evenly. Sturdy design, does not feel cheap. And there are enough attachments for almost any kind of grooming or styling. Most attachments attach and detach easily, with the exception of the mini-shaver head, which is a little more difficult to remove. It's also difficult to see the size markings on the attachment combs. When used without any attachments, i.e. with just the bare blade, sometimes the blade can break skin. When trimming my mustache along the lip line with the detail trimmer, for instance, it's sliced my lip and made it bleed a few times. Only one real complaint, though—but it's a big one. The ON/OFF switch is in a very inconvenient place. It's right in the middle of the handle where most people would instinctively try to grip the trimmer. And because it only needs a very light touch to activate the switch, I have found myself many times accidentally turning the trimmer off while in use or, even worse, accidentally turning it on while I'm changing attachments, because of the way you have to grip the trimmer in order to get certain attachments off. I actually caught the tip of my thumb a couple times while trying to detach one of the trimmer heads, by accidentally hitting the power button where I was gripping the handle, while at the same time pushing on the head with my thumb to remove it. Really not a great place for the power switch. And because accidentally turning the trimmer on or off happens to me quite a bit, I've found myself trying to grip the handle in a way that's not natural just to avoid accidentally hitting the ON/OFF switch and, as a result, sometimes find the trimmer difficult to maneuver because of the awkward grip. Would I recommend this trimmer? Yes. All in all it's a sturdy little device, with a long-lasting battery, plenty of attachments, and precision trimming. Just consider yourself forewarned of the flaws I pointed out.

I just got is, so I don't know how it works but I did have a previous multi-groom from Philips which I liked (battery quit after 2+ years though). It does have all the parts and appears to be a pretty solid unit. It is corded/cordless and water immersable. I went through the process of registering the product in order to extend the warranty but found after doing that that the warranty period was EXACTLY the same as on the box - Five years! So I don't know what the point of that was ... unless it is just a matter of semantics with them and "Extend your guarantee for free" means the original "Extended Warranty"? I wish companies didn't try to intentionally mislead.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This trimmer is definitely worth it. I used it on my face and head. It does show I can use it on my body but I haven't tried that. It shaves my hair pretty smoothly and does it in lightning speed. It comes with a ton of attachments. It even comes with a nose trimmer which I will definitely try. It's rechargeable so I don't have to replace any battery. Overall, this is the perfect trimmer that I needed.

Cuts very close. Can get by without shaving, although my beard is light. I never do reviews, but this product is great.

[Employee of philipsglobal] Very well built multi use clipper. Stainless steel body with touches of rubber, great feel in hand. Wide variety of attachments although I would have loved a longer hair guard, more like 25 mm (longest provided is 16 mm). Great buy for the money and good guarantee.

The charging cable is not universal and it would be hard to find replacement, if you are lucky.

Philips replaced my Multigroom 7000 two times... Total 3 trimmers, and each one was great for a few months until it just stopped working. Doesn't charge / doesn't turn on anymore. Very disappointing and a waste of my time.
