Good salt, good price, bad handling, made a mess. If you buy in store, check for small holes; if you get it delivered, you can't check, won't find out til too late, not returnable. Looks like they stacked and dragged, there's salt everywhere from small holes, small delivery person had a hard time with these 44lb bags, so may have been handled roughly all along its path. Talking or chatting with the comapny is like dental surgery. Delivery slot times are imaginary, too.

Sam's has been our sole source for this salt for years...usually the salt is bright white...great price and no issues. It was visibly dirty or contaminated with other minerals this past order...it turned the brine tank water brown when I loaded the salt.

We have been getting this bag since we got a softener and it has definitely made a big difference. -It is generally well packaged and in perfect shape. We have only seen a handful of the bags at the store with a broken handle or torn bag. -The print on the packaging is crisp and clearly done with no blurring or messed up spots. -The bags are fairly well made with the materials being sturdy, they do take quite a bit to tear. While I like that it is super sturdy it also gets and stays dirty easily. Kind of smears if you try and wipe it you would have to hose it off to clean it again. So we make sure to cover any back stock bags because otherwise you are hugging a dust/animal hair/ who knows what else dirty bag to load your softener. -The handles are also generally sturdy; we have only had one or two crack on us over the years. Either from extreme cold or being in the TX sun too long. -The top coroner is perforated so you can tear it open to pour it in your softener. We have only had that not tear a few times. -We did have an issue with it “shelving” a lot during a very humid year. We found insulating the softener prevented this from happening again. Which is great because emptying it even half full to fix it got old quick. Although to be on the safe side I keep a 6ft 2” PVC pipe next to the softener to kind of mix it especially when it is humid. -You definitely can't beat the price per pound offered in club. Other than that they work great and dissolve no problem.

I have used this salt for over 30 years. The current Morton salt is not the same as it use to be. It is now dirty and it is a pain to clean the softener. Will you be getting a better salt or do I need to go elsewhere? I have been a Sam's customer since 11-1991.

This stuff is trash. The quality significantly declined in the last two years. Was in a hurry and grabbed the same marketed bag from Walmart. Their's was pure white. Sams stuff is grayish and leaves crud that builds up in the unit. A shame that Morton is marketing this as the same stuff and that Sams is selling an inferior quality product to their members.

Great for salt water pools and it is less than "pool salt"

Prices competitively. Wish they offered more of a Discount. Sometimes low in stock

I believe, it's the cheapest place to buy it from

Confused about this purchase

Great product for my water softener system
