About 18 months ago we had a full house filtration and water softener installed and it requires salt pellets to maintain the system and soften the water. I shopped various places to purchase salt pellets and Sam's Club has the very best price available. Not only that it is a trusted name brand product and our technician said this product is just fine. It has a guide on how much you should use over time and there are two of us living in a townhouse and under normal water consumption one bag of Morton Clean Protect is lasting about 4 months! Our water is nice and soft comparing to water experience in 5 star hotels! This is a great product and I recommend it for anyone with a water softening system.

This is the only Salt we have used. Great value-and the results are so good. We used to buy directly from the vendor. We switched to the brand, it was easy and the price was so much better.

Great salt for our water softener. Just think that bags weighing half as much should be available for those of us who can’t lift the 44 lb ones. Great deal though.

Bags have holes causing salt to leak out and make a mess in the car. Be careful when selecting the bags. If you do a pickup, then workers are not careful to avoid bags with holes and then they toss the bags into your vehicle getting salt all over the back of your car.

These are supposed to be white. Multiple times I have opened the bag to find them brown with filth. They are leaving a film of scum all over the brine tank and water surface. After hauling 10 bags back from Sams and carrying them through the house to my basement brine tank, I cannot be bothered to lug them all the way back out of the house and to Sams for $7. This time the bag when opened hit me in the face with stench. Not only brown but a nasty stink. Never again. Avoid these.

This stuff is trash. The quality significantly declined in the last two years. Was in a hurry and grabbed the same marketed bag from Walmart. Their’s was pure white. Sams stuff is grayish and leaves crud that builds up in the unit. A shame that Morton is marketing this as the same stuff and that Sams is selling an inferior quality product to their members.

I have used this salt for over 30 years. The current Morton salt is not the same as it use to be. It is now dirty and it is a pain to clean the softener. Will you be getting a better salt or do I need to go elsewhere? I have been a Sam's customer since 11-1991.

Buyer Beware!! This is NOT the same quality as in the past. New, different shaped cubes that are dirty and contaminated. This garbage clogged out softner to the point that I had to have it serviced. This new stuff is GARBAGE!!

This salt is NOT normal Morton salt. The nuggets are 3 times as big and it is very dirty. One bag clogged up my softener so it would not work. I contacted Morton and sent pictures. They just said this was different salt as it comes from Jamaica but still good. It is not good as I had to clean my controller and even the tank. I even wrote to Sam's club and they didn't seem to care but offered a refund. I've used Morton salt for 50 years but sadly no more.
