This is a great olive oil and you can tell that by the reviews. The reason for the 2 star rating is all about delivery. whoever is packing this stuff for Sam's club doesn't seem to really care about how the olive oil is wrapped and boxed. Last week after waiting several months for this olive oil to come back in stock, I ordered 4 bottles. The delivery was damaged in transit and FedEx stopped the delivery. I called sams club and the customer service was great. They reshipped the order. When the order arrived all 4 bottles had bashed in/damaged caps. There was some bubble wrap around the bottles but not enough to protect the caps. I have no idea of the damage under the cap until I open the bottle, and I don't plan on opening 4 liters of olive oil to find out. My plan was to return these bottles and order more. But alas, once again the oil is OUT OF STOCK. Here is my suggestion sams club. BRING THE OIL BACK TO THE STORE!

I've ordered this multiple times it's the best olive oil ever! I learned not to order two bottles at one time because they never make it to my house they break. So I ordered one bottle a time and I just went to order and they're showing out of stock although somebody just said they are canceled?????

Due to the fact that the local Sam's Clubs quit carrying this item in the store, I decided to order online. What a fiasco! Three shipments were damaged in transit and had to be returned by the shipper. The fourth shipment made it here, but one of the 4 bottles ordered were broken. When I opened the box, it was evident why this happened. Keep in mind that these are glass bottles, and yet there was no protection whatsoever inside the box! The bottles were placed inside plastic bags with no fill material or cushioning to keep them from shaking around inside the box. It's no wonder that they continued to break! For proper protection, each bottle should have been adequately wrapped in bubble wrap, and then the box should have been adequately filled with a void filler to keep the contents secure from jostling around. Whoever is packing these orders is evidently clueless or just doesn't give a rip. That's a shame, because this creates not only a bad customer experience, but it also costs Sam's additional money in materials, damaged inventory and shipping fees. PLEASE train your employees on how to properly package glass items!! Until I know that has happened, I won't be ordering this item again.

This is my olive oil of choice. I'm glad to see Sam's Club carry this product at a good price. Although I received my shipment quickly and undamaged, the manner in which it was packaged was awful. The glass bottle was up against one side of the box it was shipped in with some crumpled brown paper filling the rest of the box. There were no markings on the box to indicate GLASS or FRAGILE. It's no wonder that people receive their bottles broken or leaking. DO BETTER SAMS!

To me, it was too bitter and left a raw feeling in the back of my mouth, but this might provide a different taste profile for somebody else. I usually buy Bertolli Extra Virgin. I did a taste test between the two and for me Bertolli won. I originally purchased this bottle of oil because it was made in the USA.

So Sam's gets a superior olive oil in, then discontinues it. I tried another organic brand in my store (Bristol, VA), and it is bitter and rancid, multiple origins, including Spain, which is known for putting rotten olives in their oils (they cheat the system). Rancid flavor oil means rotten olives were introduced into the oil. So sad!

I have used this oil for many years. When we moved, I had to find it again. Found it in Walmart at a decent price. Then my local Sam's started carrying it at a good price. Then Walmart and Sam's both stopped carrying it. I found it at Kroger's but at a higher price. If you have access it is available in the military commissary. I love this oil for cooking and salads for the flavor. Plus I trust that it is 100% olive oil. Please bring it back to my local Sam's Club in Centerville, OH.

Really nice olive oil - both for salads, cooking or simply dipping a fresh made bread with some feta on the side . I grew up, and spoiled with fantastic olive oils and this is the closest to those - need to get more before they sell out (why not everyday). Highly recommend this one(plus great value)
