Dangerous for small childeren

The Good: Instructions are excellent. Construction seems very solid. Kids from 4 to 12 seem to have a great time playing on it. The BAD: I bought this playset for my 4 year old. She abosolutely loves it! Unfortunately there is no real safe way for her to get onto the landing to go down the slide or play with the steering wheel. The spacing of the grips on the rock walls and location of the grab bars at the top is too far apart for someone 3 foot 6 inches tall. The ladder arcs over and is horizontal right at the top. The spacing of the rungs and grab bars is such that she can fall thru very easily. To get to the platform she has to put herself in a very akward position basically pulling her knee to her chin to reach the last rung without hitting her head on the rail around the landing. If the ladder was more of a regular ladder, or the rungs were closer together, I'd give it 5 stars. I would not recommend for kids under 5.

Thanks for the detailed review. We are currently looking into this issue with our quality team. We value our customer feedback and want to make sure the products you are using are safe and fun. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call or email us for further info. **Update** ASTM is an independent organization that helps to create safety specifications for Residential Playground Equipment and dictates spacing allowed on play features such as the arched climber. This Swing Set complies with that spacing specification. That being said, we do listen to our customers and value your feedback. We have updated the play set top rung to deck spacing to approximately 9 ½ inches to help make this transition easier for smaller children and still remain ASTM compliant.

Very Sturdy

We just finished putting this up today. We purchased this for our grandchildren. They love it. Took a few days to get it all together, but everything was labeled well. Watching the kids play on it this evening we had a scary moment. My grandson was playing in the lower "fort" as they call it and my granddaughter was swinging. My grandson stuck his head out the cutout window and thank goodness I yelled for him not to do that because my granddaughter would of swung right into him. Now I have this fear of that happening again with the other grandchildren. So my husband is thinking what to do for this situation, cause I'm sure someone is going to stick their head out that cutout part again while someone is swinging.

After 3 years it’s rusted through

We bought the set in December of 2016 and 2 years later parts of the tower were completely rusted through. I contacted costumer service and was told that rust was not covered in the warranty and I could purchase replacement parts. Now, things are worse and a piece under the tower has fallen off and I am concerned about the safety. I would have expected a play set at this price point would not start deteriorating so quickly.

Good product

Took about 30 hours to put it together by myself. I had some issues but nothing that caused me to want to hire someone else to do the job. When I found that I was a few nuts and bolts short to finish the roof (my fault, not their's) I called them and they sent me the extra parts at no charge. Great customer service.

Fantastic Playset and Great Quality

After a few weeks of debating this season on whether to go with the standard wood playset, or to lay down a bit more money and go for this one, we decided on this one. We're glad we did, as this piece is solid and obviously high-quality. The low-maintenance aspect of the metal and plastic is great too, as whenever it gets dusty or dirty or some big bird poops on the slide, all it takes is a quick hose-down and it's clean. The assembly was fairly straightforward, but time-consuming. It's still not as bad as the instruction manual made it seem though - it stated it would take 3 people 13 hours to assemble, but it took me 14 hours alone total with a little help here and there from my wife. It also took another 2 hours to properly level the playset and the ground around it (you may or may not have to do this depending on your lawn), and another half hour or so to anchor it with the included kit. You should also factor in the time to make this a safe place to play; because it's so huge a kid could take quite a tumble if they slip off the monkey bars or fall from the deck. Follow the advice in the manual and set up a safety area around it. On our part we bought a wood/pvc mix playground border kit that was almost 6 inches high, set it up around the set, then filled it to the brim with playground wood chips. This beat digging a huge 6-inch deep gouge in our yard, that one day we'd need to fill when our daughter outgrows this and it needs to go.

The perfect playset tthat will be around for many years!

We purchased the playset for our 5 year old granddaughter 12 days ago. My husband and son assembled it over the course of roughly 13 hours. It was well worth their time as once our granddaughter saw it, she was thrilled! She absolutely loves that there are two swings so someone else can swing with her. The play tower is a huge hit with her too! With her imagination the tower may one day be a castle and the next day a library when she can spend hours looking at books. The first time she went down the slide, she ended up on all fours so parents be aware and alert your children to be extra careful until they get the grasp of going down the slide. When searching for a playset, my husband, son and I all knew we didn’t want a wooden one because of the ongoing maintenance required and risk of splinters. Our 5 year old granddaughter even told us she didn’t want a wooden playset because she gets splinters when playing on them. As soon as we found the Lifetime Adventure Tower Playset, we knew our searching was over as we had found the perfect playset! This playset is going to be around for many years. Well worth the money!

No instruction manual

It is Christmas Eve, I am trying to put this together for my 3 children and there are no instructions included. No problem I'm thinking, I'm sure I can find them online. NOPE, none of the product ID's (seems to be a different one for each box) are working, the link to help you find the product ID is not working and Customer Service is closed for the holidays. While I am glad the company gave the employees off for the holiday, I am not impressed so far..............

Great product

We bought one of these sets last year for Christmas, thinking that our grandson who is 18 months old would have to wait a while to play on it, not a chance, he is already climbing and sliding like a pro. He has so much fun on it he doesn't want to leave when it's time to go home. We simply love it.

PLEASE READ before buying

My grandmother gave us this playground as a wedding gift 4.5 years ago. The rust on the tower is outrageous. I have been in contact with a customer service rep at lifetime for the past couple of months. They will not honor the warranty because I cannot produce the receipt. My grandmother passed 2 years ago so I can't ask her for it! I explained this many of times to them but they're unwilling to help except for giving me a discount on the faulty parts(which will be almost as much the playground with shipping to Hawaii). They even said to discontinue use of the play set as it is not safe anymore. The monkey bars and swings are fine. The tower however looks like it is 10 years older than the rest of the play ground. To be fair I do live in a humid environment. Still doesn't explain why half the playground is rusting and falling apart at an exponentially faster rate than the rest. My kids are so bummed that they can't play on the tower in fear of getting cut by the rusty metal or the whole thing collapsing from not being structurally sound. Especially right now during this "stay at home" period. I normally don't leave negative reviews but I don't want anyone else to have to suffer through this like we did. I have a 2 lifetime plastic folding tables that work great...not too sure what happened with the playground.
